Amelia takes a sip her gin and tonic.
“The choices of my predecessors is something I cannot explain either I’m afraid, Doctor. I have taken over the actual position not too long ago, so there are some blanks in regarding this type of information, even among ourselves.”
She then stares for a moment on a point, almost spacing out of the conversation.
“But I tend to believe that the loss of Atka necessitated a new beginning. Somewhere new I might add. While it’s still a work in progress and not yet there to fill the void crated by the destruction of one of our most important laboratories, we hope it even surpasses in the near future.”
Amelia stopped to take a long sip from her drink.
“Over the last few days I reviewed the proposal you made, I found myself with some doubts I wanted to share with you.”
She looks at John slightly smiling.
“You mentioned Omicron Theta, and a laboratory on board of your research facility. What would be the purpose of said laboratory?”
