Full Name:Lucia Jaquez Alias: Almirante DOB: 01/07/805 A.S. POB: Leixões, Planet Crete, Omicron Gamma Rank: Tribuno del Honor Occupation: elected President of the Republic of Leixoes, Commander of the Battlegroup Ionia Armada, Quartermaster of the Corsair Brotherhood,
Further Data: Lucia Jaquez, the only child of the powerful Jaquez family, was born into the absolute ruling class of the microstate of Leixões, one of Crete’s wealthiest regions. In 815, a devastating fire at the Jaquez family palace claimed the lives of her parents, leaving Lucia as the sole heir to her family’s immense wealth and industrial empire. Too young to secure her father’s political power, Leixões transitioned from an autocracy to a democratic oligarchy dominated by the wealthy elite, answering only to the Council of Elders.
In 824, Lucia left the Corsair heartlands to serve aboard the Battleship Fez, stationed initially in Cambridge and later in New London. She fought alongside Gallic forces in the Leeds system and supported Gallic Royal Intelligence operations in the Dublin system, forging strong ties between the Corsair Empire and Gallia. During the Battle of New London, she commanded the Fez's armada, assisting the Gallic fleet during the siege of the planet. After the failed attack, the Fez returned to Corsair territory, and Lucia disappeared from public life for two years.
Reappearing in 827, Lucia joined Admiral Natalia Venegas to form the Black Flag Battlegroup. Together, they led successful campaigns like the Battle of Barcelona and the cleansing of Dublin, but also allied with the Brotherhood to suppress domestic Cretan rebellions. However, significant defeats at the Battle of the Isle of Skye (828) and the Battle of New York (829) led to diminished trust in their leadership. With her forces shattered, Lucia disappeared again, this time far from Planet Crete.
In 832, Lucia returned to Leixões and joined forces with the Corsair Brotherhood. Due to her credentials and prestigious background, she quickly rose through the ranks, despite intense competition from other high-ranking Brotherhood officials. She was appointed Quartermaster of the Corsair Brotherhood, overseeing weapons research and production programs. Her role involved close collaboration with Bablo Ximanez on Puerto del Sol and Tripoli Shipyard, where they focused on fleet modernization and the development of new technologies.
By 834, Lucia’s influence reached new heights when she was elected President of the Republic of Leixões. The following year, in 835, she assumed command of the Battlegroup Ionia Armada as captain of the Command Battlecruiser Nao. With her political power, military command, and vast resources, Lucia continues to advance Corsair goals: securing biodomes for food stability, expanding raw material supplies, upgrading the Brotherhood armadas, and striving for lasting unity within the Corsair Empire.
