Ms. Lyons,

I understand your hesitation, especially given the Outcasts' history with the Taus. Officially, we are exiles from Malta, and the rightful government overthrown in a nationalist coup. In practice, however, we are as Maltese as Bretonia or the Order. The Republic is in the process of amending statutes within the constitution to find a rebrand that is more true to our intentions, but this may take some time.
For the time being, I ask your patience and your understanding, and if you have any questions regarding the Republic, I'll do my best to answer them.

As for your station and matters of trade, I'll start by informing you that we'll mark Makassar Station in the Republic's database favorably, given your communication with Crayter and your being part of the IMG.
Trade would be of quite the interest to the Merchant Marine, and we'd welcome whatever opportunities your people would offer our captains, especially given the Republic's state as of now.
At the request of the acting-Secretary of Defense, the Republic would also like to offer our support in any matters you would welcome it in, be it defense, supply, diplomacy, etc.
