Logan Davis, Owner & Manager
LOCATION: Susquehanna Station, Cortez
SUBJECT: Longhorn specs

Howdy there Captain Farina.

I apologize for us keepin' busy, but I did finally get around to your message. I hope you're enjoyin' the vessel, and now I can tell you a bit about it so that you may put it to the best use you can.

First of all, we tried our best with the modified interior, but the engineerin' team was leery about puttin' too much stress on the mainline. You should be fine to fill about 2/3rds of the available cargo space with them cabins, but the rest will need to consist of smaller goods. I'm sure you folks have plenty of cargo laid by for such eventualities, so I'll leave the details up to you.
As you may not be aware, there are both removable panels and side brackets for securin' the cargo. It's all in the detailed schematic, but I understand many of our buyers don't make use of it. That may help you streamline the cargo set-up, but you'll still need to be careful about spreadin' the loads.

Now regardin' the guns. We've found that the standard civilian PDCs do the job just fine, but I'm guessin' you ain't askin' just about those. The Longhorn is most vulnerable to vessels of its own class and lighter, so I'd suggest volley fire throwers on both the fore and aft mounts. The ravager-class mines often seal the deal in discouragin' close pursuit, which allows you to toss out some chaff and be out of there. In that regard, I'd suggest the heaviest over-engineered emitters. After all, you only need to get away once, eh?

I'm also glad you've offered to ship some of the materials, but we've had success in sourcin' thus far. Of course, that may have something to do with the incentives we've been offerin' to the haulers, heh. I know the shareholders toned it down a bit recently, but the Boss put his foot down and the deals are still solid. So if you need another one of them Longhorns, we can slot you in, and you won't need to worry any deliveries. But of course, the custom never hurts.

I hope you enjoy the vessel, and don't hesitate to contact us with any other questions!

Davis out.

First, farthest, fearless.
