Disclaimer: This Thread will contain snippets of Sanae Miyasu's daily life or daily log entries ever since ascending to the position as Prime Minister in 827 AS.
There is no distinct chronological order planned, so keep a lookout at the dates mentioned in the individual posts. I will also try out various narrative styles, story lengths, etc. so don't expect any kind of consistency here.
Liner Sunekosuri - Orbit of Planet Honshu - March 11th, 835.
01:06 - Late Night - The elevator door would slide open, permitting Sanae to step out - or rather dangerously wabbling her way out of it. The time was usual, her days having been lengthy for years now. The circumstances were not. Entering the private section of the Sunekosuri hit her like a wall on this day, the different climate in these parts tailored specifically to her preference and not that of the average guest, the feeling of seemingly fresher air, both were just harsh to her. A few steps into the corridor was all it took for her to almost trip over her own high heels - She was drunk. Too drunk. Sighing, she removed the high heels and with careful steps to the heart of the Sunekosuri - her private quarters - or rather the entire mid-sections main deck turned into a gigantic assembly of interconnected rooms serving as her personal refugium.
01:23 - Late Night - Finally. Her bed! She slid off the dress she was wearing and let herself fall onto the cozy softness. Minutes of just laying there, face down and smiling stupidly would pass before she rolled around and reached for one of the few data-pads capable of remote controlling virtually everything. Her plan was set in motion and it was slowly making progress. "Job well done, Sanae~" she whispered to herself before she unlocked the pad and started scrolling for the correct program. Trying to focus was a tad bit painful but she had to double check: Yes, Ayakashi was resting in the bedroom provided.
The plan; Her drunk mind tried to make sense of all the details it involved, how she fared this evening on her dinner meet-up with this KOI lady, though it merely felt like a hassle. Datapad aside, bedtime!
07:19 - Morning - Something or someone just threw itself on her bed, waking her unpleasantly. It was Ayame, officially State Secretary of the Prime Ministry, in reality Sanae's four years younger childhood friend and loyal servant to the Miyasu family since the age of sixteen. Disgruntled and clearly confused, Sanae sat up on her bed: "Aya.." She yawned. "Ayame.. have I overslept? Wh-what is it?" - "Your "guest" has left us about thirty minutes ago." Ayame sounded cold. Her head ringing a bit, Sanae tried to remember why that might be and sighed as she did. Ayame had always been cautious about Sanae's private contacts but also jealous, especially recently now that Sanae tries to make friends of this KOI Agent. One of these days she should tell Ayame about her plan, it might calm her down. "Ahh.. sure. Probably can't wait to be on duty again." Sanae tried to turn the mood and took the effort to briefly hug Ayame. "Good morning." - It worked - "Good morning, sillyhead. Get some breakfast, hai? You've got the first conference in a bit over an hour."
08:34 - Morning - As much as she wished for it, there was just no feasible way to skip work today. The first conference of the day was starting off with a complex topic requiring her utmost attention, the Special Secretary for Colonial Development & Sigma Territorial Affairs Kaido Chuurou - a man Sanae found out to be an associate of a moderate Farmer Union with ties to the Farmer's Alliance - wished to present the first figures of the year describing Samura Heavy Industries' operations on Planet Harris and tie all of this into a proposal for additional government funding. - Luckily or perhaps unluckily, she managed to restrict herself to a mediator role trying to keep Keiretsu representatives, Finance and Economy Ministerial staff from throwing a tantrum and derailing the debate through their usual charades. Barely twenty minutes in, she knew this would go on for hours and end without any real conclusion.
13:54 - Early Afternoon - It turned out she was correct. Five hours of meeting, four and a half hours of everyone involved running in circles with little progress made. Neither an exact sum nor timeframe could be agreed on, but at the very least a word of authority by Sanae led to a mutual agreement that Samura's standing on Planet Harris needed to be strengthened further due to growing concerns about all matters involving the Republic of Liberty. Time for a lunch break and then a face-to-face meeting with Agriculture Minister Suzuki Akiyama on board the Sunekosuri for the monthly Kyushu situation debrief she personally requested.
18:43 - Evening - The second half of her work day turned out to be much more pleasant. The debrief by Minister Akiyama-san was promising news, whilst for her and his taste still too slow, Samura was steadily making progress in their reconstruction efforts and several more large farm areas were fully operational when compared to the start of the year. It appeared the threat of cutting down government subsidies if no progress was made by the end of the first quarter, turned out to be the most effective way to convince the corporate giant. Although a risky gamble, it was starting to pay off and further strengthens Sanae's conviction that granting the Farmer associated Kanawaga Agricultural Association the one Ministry they could've ever asked for to have been the right call to make. Not only did the Kanawaga Agricultural Association turn out to be a decent bridge between the Imperial Diet and the farmer population in her eyes, but they also showcased uncanny knowledge about ways to sell the interests of the Farmer's Alliance in ways both undeniable to Samura Industries and coated in enough moderate phrasing to convince even the progressive cabinet members of their stance in almost all instances.
21:57 - Early Night - Sanae could not wait for the next day, having used the previous hours to enable herself half a day of actual spare time on the upcoming day. Little did anyone but Ayame and her sister knew that Tala would dominate the domestic racing scene again for a day. Desiring to be at her best, Sanae went to sleep uncommonly early.
