Despite a rapidly changing political environment, we were able to defend the safety of Livadia Shipyard. A lot of it was chance, but we were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. The Core came after Mars to seek for revenge and it was obvious that the Corsairs were going to take advantage of the confusion and wreak havoc on Zoners and the other groups. We cannot under any circumstance let to repeat Freeport 9 scenario, especially when we are speaking about Livadia.
Although our main fleet was now orbiting the planet Palmyra, defending our home, we were still able to bring out a Lyra defensive wing, more specifically a Hyperion to protect the livadians. We gathered all the capable ships and organized a rendezvous at the shipyard with the Core, where our forces were grouped into one powerful strike fist.
We moved out and a fierce battle ensued. Although we came after the Corsairs, and made it clear to the AI vessels that we would only attack them in self-defense, the Mars unleashed its might on the Hyperion. After that, we had no problems with Artificial Intelligence ships other than the Technocracy falling out of the sky, but those Nomad sympathizers are known threat for us.
Finally, a Vis appeared on radar and our squadron focused on him and rest of Corsairs forces. We managed to break through their ranks and almost disable the Vis, but at the cost of losing our cruiser and damage aboard the Hyperion. To the Corsairs' luck, Hyperion powergrid had overheated because of the gravity anomaly the flagship was dragged in and we were forced to silent our battlestations for a moment. Though that moment was enough for the Vis to run back to Omicron Gamma to heal its wounds.
