☠ Legends & Lost Souls ☠
Chapter II – Into the Abyss

**Omicron Theta – Unknown Installation**
Timestamp: [REDACTED]

Total darkness.

For a moment, the crew of the **Eidolon** stood frozen, listening to the oppressive silence. Then, the emergency lights flickered to life, casting the station in a **sickly red glow**.

The sound returned. **Metallic scraping. Slow. Deliberate. Getting closer.**

“Weapons up!” Commander **Selene Voss** barked, her voice cutting through the tension.

Lieutenant **Darius Cross** gritted his teeth, his rifle trained on the corridor. “This is exactly why I don’t do haunted stations.”

Dr. **Adrienne Solas** was still at the console, frantically decrypting the last remnants of data. The symbols on the screen had changed—no longer just an old log.

It was **a message.**

“Something… something is waking up,” she whispered, staring at the pulsating text. “And it’s not happy we’re here.”

The **air temperature dropped**. Frost formed along the walls. The lights flickered, and suddenly—

**The corridor behind them wasn't empty anymore.**

**The Forgotten Ones**

A **figure** stood in the doorway. **Tall. Unmoving. Featureless.**

Its form was blurred, flickering in and out of visibility like a glitch in reality itself. Its **eyes—if they could be called that—burned with cold violet light**.

And then it **spoke**.

“You are out of time.”

The voice was inside their heads. A layered, discordant **chorus** that sent an unbearable pressure through their skulls.

Cross fired first. A controlled burst from his rifle—the rounds hit, but **passed straight through** as if the entity wasn’t fully there.

And then—it **moved.**

In the blink of an eye, the figure was suddenly **inches away from Solas**. She gasped as the air around her turned to ice. Her breath hitched—she couldn’t move. **Couldn’t scream.**

Voss lunged forward, grabbing Solas by the arm and yanking her away. The instant their contact broke, the entity recoiled as if repelled by some unseen force.

The lights **flickered violently**, and for a brief moment, they saw what lay beyond the walls of the station.

**A void. Endless. Crawling with figures just like this one. Watching. Waiting.**

And then, as suddenly as it began—

**The entity was gone.**

**We Were Never Alone**

Breathing hard, Voss steadied herself. **That wasn’t a hallucination.**

Solas clutched her head, shaking, the imprint of the entity’s presence still burning in her mind. “It—it was inside my thoughts. Searching. Studying.”

Cross exhaled sharply. “Yeah? Well, next time let’s not give it an open invitation.”

The station’s systems whirred to life again. The console displayed new coordinates—an **unknown sector far beyond the edges of Sirius.**

A destination.

A warning.

Voss didn’t hesitate. “We’re getting off this damn station. Now.”

As they rushed back toward the **Eidolon**, the final message on the screen burned itself into their memories:

“YOU TOOK SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU.”

“NOW WE ARE COMING.”
