For me, it's the perspective that comes with the career, that's what follows me around. Even with all the internecine struggles here in Sirius, whoever wins or loses, we're set against a universe that pays our presence no special care. That terrifies some people, the degree to how small we really are against Creation, but to my mind it brings into focus what matters in life. We're as much a part of the stellar landscape that we're charting as any of these stars are. That we're here to perceive deep space with our own senses at all is sublime to begin with, so endeavoring to do precisely that, learning from our surroundings and seeking fulfillment, that's a life lived well. I just try to stay grounded, and keep the value of other peoples' perceptions and what's around us in mind, that's all. Speaking of that, your offer's plenty generous and I'm happy to partake.
