Greetings Command, Ensign Megan Adkins reporting in from Battleship Alma.

Today, during my patrol of the Pennsylvania system, I was ambushed a Xeno raiding party not too far from Planet Tremont's moon, Clarion. The group appeared to consist of two Black Market Gunboats and about eight supporting ships consisting of both fighters and bombers. Using Clarion to my advantage for some cover, I led the fighters away from the slower ships and began to pick them off. Unfortunately, the bombers and gunboats learned from their fallen allies mistakes and clung together to force me to engage the group as a whole. After a grueling fight, I was able to dispatch the bombers which would allow me to commence hit and run strikes on the gunboats to finish them off. Once the area was clear and I collected any surviving life pods, I was able to limp back to the Alma for much needed repairs.

Due to the damages sustained my ship is being outfitted with a new thruster, cooling system, and armor panels on the wings and underside of the craft. As soon as I am flight capable I intend on coordinating with local patrols to sweep the area in question so we can be assured that those Xenos were operating independently in the system. With any luck the local miners will have a little less to worry about. Perhaps the prisoners from this encounter can shed some light on the situation.

Should I find anything of significance to suggest a greater threat, I will reach out within the proper channels so a proper plan to counter the increased movement by this terrorist group.
