I mean your two cents pillow would probably be taken better than the uh. Well. The rest of your posts have. I’m not sure if you’re scared or not of the thought of putting yourself up here as a spokesperson in either defence of staff action or against them, but I can say with utmost certainty that this is something that quite frankly has been a noticeable issue for months.
(For the reader’s understanding, the rest of this is directed as staff feedback)
If activity of one big faction is negatively impacting most other smaller factions that are struggling to enjoy the game because of these interactions, is it better to help the one big group be protected from punishment just because they’re putting the game hours in, or is it worth doing things to the benefit of the smaller factions to give them motivation to play more?
If we keep up this way, the smaller groups will no longer feel like logging. And for what its worth, they’re for the most part the people who don’t wanna just /1 /2 pew. You say you want roleplayers to be more prominent, but you keep kicking them down. Telling them the unfair situation that was given to them by a faction with the most activity is okay because of their “mediocre skill”. Well a lot of roleplayers that are forced to fight are also mediocre skill pvpers. Myself included.
I am on the verge of dropping this game entirely, partially because these incidents are repeatedly bashing myself and friends down when we deal with them, and partially based off the fact that staff wont even talk to this one active faction at all. They expect us to keep pointlessly trying to talk it out instead and have the blame repeatedly thrown in our faces, to then also blame the ones given said unfair battle for either not bringing more people, or said people being in group who are pvpdead from somewhere else, or leaving a single ship alone (because we went to swap ships to meet the force evenly) so they could gank the shit outta what remained. Its never DTR’s fault. Neither in their own eyes, nor staffs. And the one time that they do admit their wrongdoing, staff still view the incident as fine.
If you want to list Discovery as 24/7 PvP server and forego Roleplay, do so. But don’t go wanting the quality of RP to go up when you keep putting those of us giving at least half a care to do so down. It is poisonous to the community you want to exist. Teach them. Educate them. Do it with words, or bans, or sanctions. I don’t care how, I’m not gonna jerk off to whatever you do to them. I just want to see something done to steer this sinking ship gingerly to port, and to maybe actually patch up what little remains to mend the rifts that have formed.
