Originating from a miner's family, Alexei lived as a laborer working the mines of Volgograd. At the age of thirteen, he began working as a miner under his family's will. Alexei hated it, hated his family, and hated that he was stuck on planet while not having a better purpose. Alexei didn't want to work for his family that could barely take care of themselves, never mind him. He did not receive any formal education from them either, but learned what he could from passing miners and rumors of how things were off world.
When Alexei learned for the first time of the military, and system names like "Omega-48," he knew that was his chance to become something more. However, it would be eleven years of mining and self-learning what he could, before he stood up against his father on his twenty-fourth birthday. Alexei told his father about his plan to join the Coalition military, his father said "No" which infuriated Alexei in turn. Being furious at his answer, Alexei decided to take matters into his own hands and left for Zvyozdny Gorodok. He left his family behind without a word of contact and hasn't looked back since.
Any aditional information (optional):
Alexei wishes to serve for a greater purpose in the name of the Coalition, and his brothers and sisters that serve alongside him.

How long have you been playing on Discovery Freelancer?:
On and off since 2012, so about a decade.
Have you ever been sanctioned before? If yes, what for, and have you learned from it?:
Note that having received sanctions is not automatic grounds for application rejection. Honesty and picking up from one's mistakes so long as you are not a "career offender" is preferred.
Yes, and this was around when I came back to the game, so I was a little rusty at the rules and didn't pay as good enough attention as I should have. The sanction was for "pirating" GC- tagged transports as a bounty hunter. The idea was that if they didn't want me to kill them, they could pay off their bounty, as I imagined how bounty hunters worked. Now this was reported for pirating, and BHG apparently couldn't do that back in the day (Aegis has a line that allows them to I believe or something similar).
So I have learned my lesson since to look at ID's more carefully, to see what they can, and can't do.
