Biased Bans?

I guess I am just a little frustrated because I just started becoming active on the forums the day before the sanction happened. I have not received a reply from an admin in the PM, and like someone said they are overloaded with work from the server, so I doubt one will hear my argument.

I really love this server, i didn't know there was an active freelancer server until a few weeks ago and the day I got my Zoner destroyer I got sanctioned for something I didn't know was illegal (i have read server rules again and again)

The rule that I got sanctioned for was

"3.2 Flaming, threats and insulting (in any form) other members, factions, server administrators in chat, public or private, is prohibited on server and on forums. RP-related threats are allowed on the server."

"3.4 Out-of-character (OOC) chat should not be used for system chat. Using out-of character in roleplaying chat should be marked with "OOC"."

DBoys comment was:

Comments / Instructions: You don't insult someone after they run away and then of course rule lawyer in system chat at the exact same time. Not the brightest move is it? Do your time, let me know to unban ya in 7 days.

I do not flame, I am a calm guy and I do not assault people with words, the comment I made was strictly role playing (which is one of my favorite parts about this server) I purposely did NOT curse but the actual word I used was "crap", if you knew me you would know that I got a sailors mouth, if I was mad at the guy and flaming I would have said different things.

I figured this was completely in line of role playing do the the fact that the retreating player was a Phantom Terrorist, the rule states "RP-related threats are allowed on the server" so I do not see what rule I broke.

I think the player misunderstood a Zoner insulting a Phantom for a player insulting him as a person and I apologize if I offended anyone.

As for my ruling lawyer I am not quite sure what Dboy means, I imagine it means that I was trying to tell the Phantom what the rules are, but I did not say a word to him after he retreated besides "Get out of here you worthless piece of crap" (In RP isn't that what we all think of terrorists?)

In fact i remember right afterwards going to Sigma-13 and helping a player named *BH* kill Harvester17 and then logging off, I do not remember ruling lawyer at the Phantom player.

Please if anyone can help vouch for me a 7 day ban seems really harsh considering I purposely did not curse, and I did not go OORP. I believe the Admins were either given tampered screen shots or they did not see my comment in context.

Thanks everyone I try to be a good guy on this server, which is why I am a Zoner and the only OORP chat that I do is to help aide fellow players.
