Earlier this morning, many of you likely took note of the station-wide alert and the deployment of defense squadrons. While the Administration is still uncertain as to the exact details of the assailants, the Freeport was confirmed attacked by a large unknown vessel sporting the profile of a Liberty warship. So far, we believe it to be the probable source of the interference that had been plaguing communications as of late, and following the self-defense force's efforts in forcing the vessel away this appears to have cleared the comms. However, station security will not rule out the potential of another attack.
For the time being, the security team will maintain a round-the-clock perimeter detection force for at least the next 72 hours. All Voyagers pursuing security will be required to remain on-call for the allotted time, and should maintain a ready status on your defense craft where applicable.
All other Society members should exercise considerable caution when traveling beyond the station security grid.
