In response to the standing Eclipse directive following heightened Core military aggression in the Omicron Delta region, agents were instructed to conduct unscheduled patrols across adjacent systems. This is to limit predictability and adapt fluidly to signs of renewed activity. The recent memory of the major Core offensive remains fresh, and surveillance efforts are now decentralized to prevent another surprise operation.
On this occasion, I was operating in the Omicron Minor system when communications chatter—originating from Konpeki personnel, now under the civilian banner of “Dax’s Gas Miner”—suggested increased Core fleet visibility. These whispers, while vague, bore the same cadence as previous precursors to hostile maneuvers. Acting on my own discretion, I diverted course and initiated a sweep toward Delta without delay.
System entry was nominal until the vessel reached grid E4, where a dormant structure known as Badrulchau Station appeared on long-range scans. This site—long believed to be a derelict relic of ancient activity—immediately displayed non-standard behavior upon approach.
The wreck responded with unprovoked weapons fire, without issuing warnings or showing any signs of communication protocols. The aggression was sudden, mechanical, and targeted.
This behavior is disturbingly consistent with past encounters involving Infected installations. The pattern includes:
• Lack of IFF recognition
• Automated aggression
• Zero communication attempts
• Broad-spectrum hostility
I’ve attached a still of the moment Badrulchau opened fire. My vessel sustained no serious damage due to evasive maneuvers, but I advise all future reconnaissance assets to avoid direct approach. Passive scans or long-range probes are preferred until we have a clearer threat profile.
If this site is under Nomad or hybrid control, it could be a beacon or early warning node for deeper infestation. Recommend cross-referencing Badrulchau's current energy emissions with known Wild signature patterns.
PHASE II: Conflict Indicators – Grid F4
Upon entering **grid F4**, the situation grew more complex. My HUD registered multiple IFF signals clustered within the area, including:
The vessels were exchanging words, not fire. I maintained a safe observational distance. No offensive actions occurred during my presence, but the tension was palpable—verbal exchanges were confrontational, particularly between the Corsair and Core vessels.
The Reincarnation Outpost—a major DTR strategic foothold—was within proximity. Judging by vector formations and comms tone, it appears the Core may be conducting early probing actions, gauging response strength and external support around Reincarnation.
That being said, this report does not constitute hard proof of a planned Core offensive. But it contributes to an increasing number of signals pointing in that direction. The attached black box log showcases fragments of their conversation—indicating not only tension but a possible strategic blockade formation.
We cannot confirm their intentions—yet.
PHASE III: Strategic Assessment & Threat Analysis
The Reincarnation Outpost is not a soft target. Constructed with Corsair engineering and now under Deterrence control, it features:
Any Core move against it would require overwhelming force or advanced sabotage. A direct siege would result in high casualties unless they leverage outside help—or perhaps worse—experimental Nomad technology.
We must not underestimate their capacity to escalate. The current lull is a breathing space, not a resolution.
Recommendations:
• Continue unscheduled, unpredictable patrols. Keep pressure on observation gaps.
• Deploy long-range scan drones around both Reincarnation and Badrulchau.
• Compile comms intercepts from Delta traffic lanes—flag anything referencing "lockdown", "blockade", or fleet restructuring.
• Refrain from direct confrontation unless fired upon or responding to active distress signals.
• Coordinate indirectly with Zoner scouts when possible—they're eyes we don’t need to risk.
The Core may be calculating, but they’re not subtle. If a strike is planned, they’re still preparing. Our window to detect early indicators is slim—but it exists.
