First of all, this violation report has not been reviewed in over two months, which means it should already be null and void. Second, in the provided video evidence, you can clearly see that the AI cruiser was attacked by Core|WV-Midnight first, and only then Core|WV-Vrihedd took 3 salvos of 2 Cruiser Crimson Blasters in close combat, which took down the gunship's shield immediately and dealt some damage to the hull therefore the combat was already started by both sides. Thirdly, it was an unlimited respawn event, and if you want to apply the rules, then you might want to sanction other players too, for the recent Omicron Delta siege as well, for example, not by singling out specific players you don't like.

There's no concept of statute of limitations on server rulings. We have suspended a recent event for unsporting activity including base camping in the past - We had hoped that we wouldn't have to explicitly list out a code of conduct for events but it is looking increasingly apparent that we will have to do this going forward. Regarding those who we selected for the sanction, we did not want to blanket penalize everyone present - and limited our selection for the most egregious cases that we found with the evidence given. If there is to be any change, it would only increase the scope of people penalized and not decrease it.

We have mentioned in the past that we do not want to see toxic behavior such as spawn/base camping in events, and our policy has not changed. As this is one of the first non-warning sanctions regarding event toxicity, we have ONLY taken rewards gained from this event - going forward, we will start to impose actual punishments in line with sanctions befiting behavior of this nature.
