The log opens with Jadyn leaning on a darkened console with his elbows. The bulkhead behind him looks to have seen better days.

It seems I over-estimated my ability to captain a ship larger than a gunboat.

He downs the amber liquid in front of him and tosses the glass behind him--it shatters against the bulkhead with glass shards raining down on the floor behind him.

Engines finally gave out after our long trek from deep space. We travelled to Omega-49 looking for work from the locals when the engines burned their last. The bulk of what remains of the Black Harvest is slowly drifting out of the system and I'm keen to let it fade away into the black. This experiment was a bust. No sense carrying on with any of it.

Rest of the crew disembarked at Gran Canaria as we drifted past. I paid them out their dues and they dispersed to all points no where.

He stands up and stretches, the camera auto pans to follow his face. His eyes look around one last time, eventually falling on the camera.

I think it's time I followed suit.

He reaches down and ends the log.
