First of all, thank you for the honest feedback. We appreciate any and all sent our way, whether toward individuals or the staff team as a whole.
To address an elephant in the room quickly because I feel it's paramount that we acknowledge issues - yes, a couple of sanctions have taken too long to process recently. This is being actively discussed to ensure increased efficiency going forward. I mention this myself because it is an objective problem, and it's important to admit shortcomings. We are also acutely aware that the relationship between staff and some of the community is not the best, and it is a constant topic of discussion. We do take it seriously. I can point to the fact that new recruits are being brought in (like myself), in order to populate and push things forward, and this has resulted in higher workload for the already existing staff. It does involve a lot more than just VRs.
Secondly, I will not speak on behalf of Petitioner here, but I will say that it's important to distinguish between memes on the forum, and memes in game. The forum is an OOC environment and therefore memes are allowed. This is very different from the game server, an IC environment, where meme names, speech etc. are disallowed and not to be used. Staff do not do this either. I would argue that the sanction referring to the 1st faction members ship deletion is not a meme, but rather a lighter-hearted way to get a point across. It's not mockery or a middle-finger of some sort. If you feel unprofessional behaviour is occurring then you're within your right to bring that up and we'll take it into consideration, though it is only meant to describe what has occurred as the result of a rule-break.
Lastly, if you feel someone has broken the rules, then please report them. Every VR is read, discussed etc. to ensure proper action. Do we make mistakes? Absolutely. It happens. We are not infallible. However, we cannot be everywhere at once. We action what we see, and what is brought to us if evidence is sufficient. If you see something we don't, we ask that you make us aware of it via the proper channels a.k.a the report system. We are not singling people out, and we are not acting with bias. We are simply acting upon what is brought to us in-line with the rules. Certain people may be brought up more than others in VRs, and if the playerbase is noticing more problems coming from certain individuals or groups, then maybe there is a reason for that. However, we do not act on malicious reports or those that lack any real evidence of sanctionable behaviour. It's important to consider what is not successfully processed, as well as what is (the ones you see).
Once again, thank you for your constructive feedback. Please keep it coming.
You being only a mod when you communicate this way and Petitioner being an admin is frankly egregious.
We just need a new St.Denis to rise - the way admins treat the community has been egregious since his departure
