Why do the capital ship have to be so bad

This thread is just battleship players complaining that their boring class which was boring ever since the dawn of time is still boring, but now they need an additional keybind to play the game (disable shield regen) and they can't WASD in a straight line until the heat death of the universe anymore.

How the term "caps" is used here while exclusively referring to battleships is incompetence that's borderline offensive to a real cap player like myself.

Gunboats and BCs have had their gameplay changed drastically, with both classes receiving game changing mechanics. BCs are the closest disco has ever been to properly getting the feeling of large capitals down, and yet people still stick to their boring battleship gameplay and complain that they can no longer have 1h30m long duels in conn where both people just fly in a straight line, WASD, and abuse some whack BF mechanic.
