Anyone complaining about the loss of 5kers probably has no interest in roleplaying as what IC actually is so it shouldn't be a problem for you to switch to another ID. It's a bank not a shipping company.
I'll second that view and add my five cents to the fact that the update is really great and fits the overall style of Interspace.
The other issue is making sure players realize that this is not a simple pirate RP, but specifically that it is a requirement to pay a “tax”. Although maybe Interspace doesn't care at all about who collects taxes? What I don't understand are the claims from those who are unhappy with the changes to reduce the allowable hold for flights. Even setting aside the concept of Interspace as a faction, I just want to remind the most disgruntled that you already use Zoner ID, so, lol, you won't feel this loss at all.
