Mr Hunt

I'm Special Sergeant Howard, I've been assigned as a direct liaison with your company, to keep yous appraised on what's happening with the CDI's investigation.

Your case has been assigned the crime report number L/35/023518-M - if you could quote that ref in any future correspondence on the issue, it'd greatly help our record keeping.

What you're asserting is obviously a right serious issue, and we've opened a file for alleged assault and destruction of property under UKBCIL 3.1 and 3.6. Now, the CDI has had a right proper expansion of its standard protocols on investigating crime after our last PEEL report, so if you were able to assist us on that front, that'd be grand.

You've provided us with enough evidence to create a reasonable suspicion that an offence has been committed within Bretonian territory, but the Crown Prosecution Service tends to want a bit more meat than reasonable suspicion to head off any potential defences or appeals.

If you could provide us with all of the Biff Dickinson's communication logs from the day in question, the name of the captain and executive officer on duty at the time of the alleged incident, onboard security footage, sensor logs, and witness statements from the bridge staff.

This will also be of significant aid when interviewing offenders, as it will allow for the detection and cross-examination of potential false statements. It would also be helpful to understand what cargo the BMF vessel was carrying (if any), and the value of said cargo, to aid in the calculation of reparations (if relevant).

Should you need to contact me about this investigation, please feel free to respond to this chanel, contact Stanbrook Hall, or call my direct extension at +7755631 230234 000.

Obviously, the final case outcome will depend on the course of the investigation and the CPS' discretion, which is a wee bit above my pay grade.

Kind regards

Good day constable, here is as much as the information you have requested as possible, some of the logs were damaged when systems were physically damaged thru incoming weapons fire but I believe more than enough survives to show that indeed IMG attacked Bretonian shipping within the Leeds system.

It starts on the twelfth of july, we had taken on a cheap load of water, roughly 5k units worth, from planet Harris to replenish a BMF facility in Tau-23.
I had left first officer Hugh Baols with the conn while briefly stepping away from the bridge to offer some tea to a maintence team making minor repairs to a section of wiring that had burnt during a skirmish with pirates the day before when the ship began to shake from incoming fire.

While the data recorders were damaged, we did recover this excript from the communications log:

Quote:[12.07.2025 05:01:48] IMG|Wavecrest: Well this is something.
[12.07.2025 05:01:53] IMG|Wavecrest: Now where are you headed?
[12.07.2025 05:02:16] IMG|Wavecrest: Don't feel like talking?
[12.07.2025 05:02:23] IMG|Wavecrest: Alright then!

Thirty five seconds.
They opened fire thirty five seconds after the opening communique.

Now, of course, at this point, we returned fire and evaded, making for the Leeds gate and Glasgow shipping platform, we did not make it far past arrival in system before taking a hit and several of the engines exploded, leaving the ship drifting in space until rescue tugs from Glasgow could respond to assist.

Attached is some of the sensor data:

Sensor data
And I would like to bring extra attention to the following sensor readings.

This one includes a readout of the ships location, as well as an ID scan of the attacking vessel.

And in the following one, you can clearly see an IMG vessel firing upon a Bretonian vessel within the Leeds system.

The use, as backed by visual evidence, of both weapons fire and cruise disruption missiles within the Leeds system clearly shows a disregard for the crown.

And while it is circumstantial, the scan of the vessel from within Tau-31 shows they were carrying untaxed wildcat gold lacking the legally required radiological tagging to show it was legally exported, which they then brought back into Leeds while committing the attack unless you are to believe they dropped the cargo, so the vessel is by technicality at that point also a smuggler vessel as well.

I await any further questions, God save the Queen!
