It's been some time since I've wrote in this.
Conditions for us have improved in the past few months, and personnel numbers are on the rise, to the point where I feel comfortable enough with us putting down 'roots' as it were, somewhere around the Kusari Border. Given tensions in Galileo at the moment, that is out - And with Kepler still being innundated with that dark matter storm.. we won't be able to entertain *anything* there. Too risky.
So our best course of action is to establish a base in the Taus. I'll likely be calling on Hakugyokurou and Starcat to fufill logistical needs to get it up to full operation, possibly with aid from IMG. My hope.. is it will be more fortified and preserved against threats in the region.. and with Java and Holman nearby, supply will be easy. I'd much rather be in the Sigmas.. but knowing Namura he'll likely whack us again.. and I'd much rather be the one who whacks.
Which.. reminds me of an old fallback plan I had in my pocket from months ago. Mieko's other partner, Yukiko. She is a former Blood Dragon, one of the Hideyoshis. Mayhaps getting at that Togo she supposedly has stowed away, may bear us a chance to get things accomplished in regards to establishing a foothold in Kusari if negotiations with the TSK fall through. At least we can get whatever aerospace complement it may have had, along with equipment and technology.. reverse engineer it for our own aspirations. Though that'll require establishing ship-building facilities at the base.
Which.. reminds me. What should we name this place..?
