K Ma'am, you... Y Kensington-san, hello. K Yoruha. H Yes. She's here to discuss matters pertaining to Auxesia. Now that she's no longer under their reins, she's willingly divulging what she can about matters. Y Mm. K So what, is this an interrogation, or..? Y More a divulgence of important information. H Yes. Let's.. start with matters of most importance. Leviathan. Y Ahem... it is.. my firm belief, that the Leviathan that is within the Auxesian Inner Phalanx, and the Leviathan that we knew prior to the incident in 825 AS, are not the same. Firstly - he divulged this factually to be the case, when I first re-made contact with them. Y At first.. I thought little of it. Auxesia is known to do these things. However.. as time went on, I noticed they tended to be.. distant. They had tasked me to be part of Serpentis, what I originally thought would be a special forces unit, but apparently was a collective of acolytes. K .. And if the intel from Caliban and that 'little maid' are to be believed, then it proves that Leviathan's compromised. If not directly, then by Revenant and Harbinger thereby. Y Harbinger? K A Nomad, form and type unknown. What we do know is it's an elder form that is in Auxesia's possession that is influencing Revenant. Auxesia according to third party intel we've acquired in the field points to Auxesia's high command being compromised. Leviathan, being a byproduct of Revenant's plans, is just as bad. H ... damn. I knew Raven wasn't to be trusted but.. It explains everything. Leviathan's curt demeanor with me when I approached him, his cold disposition in Kansas. K If it's any consolation ma'am, you didn't know, and Mieko only knew part of the situation. Now that we have the whole picture, we know that trying to make friends with Auxesia was a faux-pas.
[Silence] H Well that settles it then, I suppose. Auxesia is lost.
[Silence, Hanamura sighing] H I'm sorry, Joshua. I wish I could have stopped all this. Now the cause you built has been twisted beyond belief, I bet.. And I am in no position to take the fight to put it down.
[Silence] K Your standing orders? H Same as before. Auxesia are NOFORN. Do not trust them with a pencil, let alone any sensitive intelligence. Avoid them, in fact. The less I see of them the better. K There still is the issue of their dealings with Kusari. Miyasu's bound to be involved in that. H If you see Miyasu with them, kill her and retreat once she's down. If Revenant and his faker yes-man say anything, they can cry about it to someone who cares. H Mieko. What is the situation in Inverness? Y Liberty purportedly according to Levi-- H Don't use that name in my presence. Faker. He is a Faker. Simple as.
[Silence] Y ... He reports that Liberty is planning to attack Inverness again as part of a fully-fledged campaign. At least, according to Prometheus' communiques. H I see. K Have to ask, though.. what about the Prometheans? Same stroke or.. H We treat them the same, save Mieko. Same goes with our associates in Auxesia - ANSCHLUSS and SIREN. K Yes ma'am. H Mieko. Do you know if Prometheus intends to stay under Auxesian patronage indefinitely, or..? Y That is beyond my paygrade, I am afraid. I don't even think Andrew knows. H I see. Well.. if they do ever break free of Auxesia, I will gladly resume diplomatic relations with them. For now consider it on ice. K Yes ma'am. You want me to relay this to Kobayashi? H I'll inform her personally. Y Is there anything for me? H You're not a spy for us, Mieko. We have you marked as discharged. Though you divulging this information is helpful, and if you could be so kind.. as to keep tabs on Prometheus for us, that would be greatly appreciated. Let us know if things might open up for us. Or if Auxesia for whatever reason turns guns in our direction. Y Hai. It's good to see you again. H Mhm. It's always a pleasure to see your sweet face. How is Yuki? Y She is fine. Do you still want me to approach her about what we discussed last November? H Mhm. If plans with the TSK fall through, this will likely be our last ditch plan. K Which is..? H Yukiko Hideyoshi is a.. partner of mine and Mieko's. Polyamorous. K Uhuh. H And she likely still has at least, some equipment laying around somewhere that we can reverse engineer to unlock the old Blood Dragon IFF codes that the Hideyoshi clan used ages ago. I'm hoping she could help us get that squared away. If we do, it'll unlock the options we have at our disposal. H Is there anything about Prometheus that would be of concern? K Honestly, I have to ask, what's stopping Prometheus from being compromised? What created Megiddo? The Auxesians? Y Yes, but it is my firm belief that Megiddo is independent of Auxesia's directives. K They're adjutants to them, Yoruha. And so are you. Y They are patronized by Auxesia, they are not adjutants! H ENOUGH. K Ma'am, for all we know, Yoru here might not even be -- H We scanned her on the way in, Kensington. Do you think I don't take these precautions? Same equipment the Order used years ago, carried over from the Dragostea.
[SILENCE] H I understand your concern. But I trust Mieko. I have trusted her for over a decade. Why do you think I sent her out to Sirius? Mistake or no, I did it because I trusted her. K .. Yes ma'am. H ...Is there any evidence that anyone else in the HIGHCOM of Prometheus is compromised? Y No. The Exarchy is clean, more or less. Sure, one of them has been in contact with Psyche but, it was no different from I. K Are you sure? Y Positive. H Right.. In that case, the best course of action with them is as I said prior. Keep them at arm's length. If they seperate from Auxesia formally at any juncture, maybe we can resume diplomacy. I have a feeling the more.. progressive causes in Sirius need to stick together. Ouroboros, Prometheus, Der Platform, the RPA. If you can call 'we'd like to not be exploited by corporations and corrupt governments' progressive, which I guess in this time, it is. K Do have to ask.. what about Gallia? We never really established connections with them. H It's been a matter of debate between me and Kobayashi. I've also been debating amicability with the Imperio. K The Corsairs? Hanamura, with Project Nozomi in the works for the next 2 months, we can't really expect to have that sitting where Malta can steamroll it given any incentives. As much as you and Kobayashi hate them, we're going to have to either make peace with the Maltese or get some stern guarantees from the IMG that they'll help us against a siege. And given your past with Megaera, I wouldn't put it past the Gen'an to try to attack it either. H I have trust that Guildmaster Schulze and Guildmistress Akibara will be able to detach some capital and snubcraft complements to help us if it comes to blows. K And if we lose it? What then? H I doubt that'll come to pass. My hope is we can possibly establish ties with Gallia before we commit. Maybe they can send a bomber detachment. K But what do we have to offer them? H We exploit their Anti-Kusari sentiments. That and if you didn't pay attention, the Corsairs have a price for Miyasu's head, and admittedly, I'm tempted to offer a boost to it if it means she dies a painful, agonizing death. K This feels.. extremely personal. H Until such time Kusari atones for its' crimes against me, against its' people, anyone who is head of state of that house is on my shit list unless I say otherwise. Wakaru ka? K Wakatta. H I have every right to make it personal, after EVERYTHING. After being frozen for centuries, after they used me for their experiments. After everything they've subjected my people - OUR PEOPLE. To. K Our peop-- H You may be as white as snow but believe me when you swore unto this banner, you swore to serve Kusari's best interests. H Gaijin you may be, they've wronged Liberty before, and here we are, months or weeks away from them doing it again. I wouldn't put it past Miyasu to glass Denver like the Gauls did Leeds! H Unlike all of you, I *remember* the atrocities Kusari's predecessor did! I know that the Kaigun has the very same capacity to repeat them. And since no one bothers remember what Rheinland's ancestor did -- we are doomed invariably to repeat it! H A man two centuries before my time uttered similar words.
[Silence] H Maybe if you all stopped living in the present for a moment and looked to your ancestors like me, maybe you'd find a reason to stop fighting. Hell.. maybe even stop treating people so horribly. H We're not all fucking cavemen and troglodytes. Ravenous abandon for progress and disregard for past errors only invites more mistakes.
[Silence] K .. Yes ma'am. H Right.. Mieko. If you wish to stay the night you can. My quarters are open for you, dear. Y That is okay.. I am needed on the front. H .. You really do believe in their cause, don't you? Y Yes. I believe in it more than I feel I ever could with Auxesia in its' present form. H Hmm. Well.. If you're fighting for a free world somewhere, I guess It doesn't really matter if it's under our banner or no, in the end. Y Thank you for understanding, Hanamura-sensei. H You're welcome. Just.. if things go sideways, come home. I would want you safe here with me.
