Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Application
Liberty Navy 46th Fleet Security Clearance: < GRANTED >
Sender ID: Lt Cmdr W. Thompson, Reserve Fleet
Age: 36
Subject: Liberty Navy, 46th Fleet Application
Qualifications: Lieutenant Commander of the Liberty Navy
Captain of the Liberty Navy Ship, Archer-class LNS-Concord
Good Conduct Award
Why do want to join the Navy: Esteemed Rear-Admiral, after a long service history with the Liberty Navy, it is my humble request to return the LNS-Concord back to active service under the 46th fleet. This request comes at a time where my vessel is returning from a long period of not seeing combat, due to it's substantial damage in combat, prolonged rebuild at Norfolk Shipyard, and subsequent removal from the active fleet into a period of assisting with Research & Development of better protected engine housing for the Archer class, given the Concord's primary rebuild consisted of the stern section of the cruiser after it's catastrophic explosion.
Requested Division: Main Fleet
Biography: William Thompson had enlisted with the Liberty Navy in 825AS as an Ensign fresh out of West Point Military Academy. Despite having some initial problems during their Naval Training Course, they completed it on the second cycle after initially failing the first. They initially found favour with mid command due to their active patrols and rapport with local corporations, however found themselves in a disciplinary hearing within their first year due to the loss of an Avenger-class vessel after an incident with unknown (Suspected Xeno) fighters.
This marked a change in William's approach to the role, and they instead relied upon diplomacy as a driving factor and increasing the Navy's reputation through diplomatic means with various Liberty corporations and local police forces. This allowed them to fly under the radar at times and hide their lacking combat ability behind a clean, yet not stellar or extraordinary fleet record. This continued as they eventually were trained on other small fleet ships, managing to participate in smaller fleet engagements and more often than not survive the ordeal intact, but rarely scoring any meaningful impact on the battles.
Despite this, they did not recieve any further reprimands over their combat ability, and surprisingly were awarded a Good Conduct Medal around 827AS, which was assumed to be a sign of the Navy caring more about regular patrols and visibility in the area rather than combat prowess. This trend of regular service combined with below-average combat ability continued in the years after, although did come to a head in 828AS when they were presumed lost after their Avenger was lost in a heated engagement with Corsair capital ship engagement with a combined force of 1st Fleet and 46th Fleet vessels. They were later found to be recovered by one of the 1st Fleet capitals and returned to debrief at Norfolk.
After this incident, there was a determination to try move away from the fast-paced nature of small craft warfare into a more command orientated role, for which the introduction of smaller capital vessels such as Gunboats and Cruisers allowed for. It was William's opinion that as a commander, his skills in crew management would become the defining factor rather than his own combat prowess, and after managing to complete the initial aptitude test, was able to become acting captain of the LNS-Concord at the rank of Leiutenant Commander. This was a provisional appointment due to lack of other strong candidates at the time, but it is hoped it would stick to enable them a chance to free themselves from the fast paced lifestyle of an Avenger pilot.
Whilst initially promising, a subsequent engagement with hostile forces in Colorado resulted in extensive damage to the LNS-Concord, and through a stroke of luck, the engine stern section being catastrophically severed along with various power components meant that hostile forces concentrated elsewhere, assuming the Concord was a loss. The remaining part of the ship was towed back to Norfolk for extensive repairs, and was then mothballed in a reserve role, primarily participating in a Research & Development capacity of new engine shielding and durability testing.
As this phase has now completed, this has meant an opportunity for the LNS-Concord to return to active service under the 46th Fleet.

Please Answer these quick questions to make sure you are familiar with Liberty Law.
1.Please name 2 (two) restricted areas in Liberty : Alaska/Zone-21
2.Name 4 major big contraband items that are listed in Liberty Law : Cardamine/Xeno Relics/Nox/Slog
3.If you spot a ship carrying Naval Equipment (guns) what would you do if their ID is not Navy : The vessel will be stopped and inspected, I will ask them about their equipment to see what their response is whilst manually verifying their ID from my scanner. If they are unable to provide a satisfactory answer, or is contradictory to their identification, they will be escorted to the nearest station in order to resolve the situation.
5.You have stopped a Trader carrying Cardamine, what do you do with this individual and why : I will intercept the vessel and perform routine check of ship, equipment and cargo. If contraband such as Cardamine is located, they will be alerted to this and asked for an explanation. Regardless of the explanation given, they will be requested to immediately jettison the cargo so that it can be confiscated, or if unable to safely transport the contraband, it will be destroyed. The ships registration details and information will then be recorded as a person of interest for Liberty security forces to review and monitor.
