OPERATION #835-7, GUERRERO CLOUD ANALYSIS
As this report is a part of series of messages regarding latest operation in the Vespucci system it will conclude the analysis of mentioned Guerrero Asteroid Cloud. It's traversed parts, to be precise.
For convinience, the topics of this report will be divided as a list, in chronological order, same to as our wing have found them. The condition of mentioned wrecks, as well as their capability to become repairing materials or facts of the necessity of destruction of said objects will be provided in upcoming reports.
Note: additional information, flagged as "UPD:" is gathered in conversations with the Hellfire Legionnairs themselves. The circumstances of this coversation will be reflected in my next report.
The first thing that came to our sight, as well as the part of our main goal, was the Battlecruiser "Triton". As the database digging said, this vessel was the last to fall under Liberty's attack. Though the vessel itself was critically damaged, it became the rock which was found by Liberty's scythe. "Delaware" and it's formation, leaders of Vespucci incursion, were defeated in that engagement, leaving the "Ohio" to finish the insurgents off.
That history lesson leaves us with some questions and theories on their answers.
At first, why did the "Triton" chose to stay at the Guerrera Cloud? At the first glance, this battlecruiser practically put itself in a corner, since retreating into the cloud would prove strategically wrong. "Triton's" captain proved themselves a master of his craft, since facing off the bigger numbers and getting out of it victorious, both practically and ideologically, even in death, certainly is impressive.
Second, why "Triton" didn't participate in the fight near planet Veracruz and Marshall Station? It seemed, that the main battle happened right there, so what was the reasoning behind placing a battlecruiser that far away? Of course, they might have retreated to the point when there was no place to retreat further. Yet I doubt that this cohesive crew and their idealistic captain would've ran from the fight in the first place.
UPD: I was told, that placing "Triton" near the Cloud was a tactical decision, so it can use the asteroids to throw off bigger ships from being locked in on it.
The second wreck we ran into in this cloud was the "Avarice", a CSV vessel. As scans very reading, it was shot with Hellfire Legion's weaponry, though it was not clear enough, not to mention uncertainty of when it happened, either back in the days of the Insurgency or that is more of a fresh wreckage. One thing is close enough to be certain - this wreck is left as a warning. From whom - that is still in question, yet that it is meant for trespassers - is obvious.
UPD: Now it is more certain, that this wreck is old. Old enough to date back to Insurgency's rebellion. So it indeed served as a warning and serves as one to this day.
The third and the last object of interest that we have seen - is anomaly of some sort. We have yet to determine it's nature and it's properties, so there's not much analysis I can provide by now, as well as regarding the jumphole nearby. Now it is nothing more than being ominous and open to interpretation.
UPD: On the Legionnairs' information it has grown in some details. They mentioned, that both the anomaly and the jumphole have appeared in the cloud relatively not too long ago, presumably - after the so-called Blackout. They stated that no exploration nor studying were conducted on it yet.
If at the moment of starting to write that report I was tending to suppose, that there is, or, rather, was something to this cloud, now I am reassured, that there is something out there. The way rumours were surrounding Guerrero, as well as paired with common sense about thinking of how and where did the so-called Insurgency has built their ships, it was easy to assume that some kind of a drydock is hidden behind asteroids and metallic dust. As something more to this - the reaction of Legionnaires I have met, insisting that I should turn around from that cloud, and the reasoning behind it - the analogy of defending the secrecy of something important, mentioning shipbuilding and repairing yards.
All of said theories, as well as Hellfire Legionnaires' words are up to debate and questioning, yet that is all I can provide and all that is open and known by far.

[24.07.2025 04:08:24] 34th|Melusine: I have no interest in it.
[24.07.2025 04:08:28] 34th|Melusine: Yet.
[24.07.2025 04:08:36] 34th|Melusine: I am curious now.
[24.07.2025 04:08:54] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Smooth going, Ward. Maybe pick up a book on reverse psychology sometime.
[24.07.2025 04:08:57] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Why does any organized fighting force maintain a secure perimeter around something?
[24.07.2025 04:09:16] TFP)-HFF-Sender: To fly around in fucking circles, why else.
[24.07.2025 04:09:16] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm asking out of respect, not out of any illusion that we can maintain secrecy these days.
[24.07.2025 04:09:21] 34th|Melusine: Maybe you can spare a rumour or two?
[24.07.2025 04:09:45] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Helmsman, that wasn't a fucking order, halt.
[24.07.2025 04:09:46] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Rumor has it, the Navy never found where we built and serviced our warships. There, the end.
[24.07.2025 04:10:34] 34th|Melusine: Looking at how your ships are repaired... I guess, nothing to look for there, oui?
[24.07.2025 04:10:50] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Yes and no.
[24.07.2025 04:10:51] 34th|Melusine: I can respect the memories.
[24.07.2025 04:11:44] 34th|Melusine: And if you insist that I should not peek in there - that would be foolish of me to decline.
[24.07.2025 04:12:09] 34th|Melusine: So you can stop burning down fuel to circle around.
[24.07.2025 04:12:20] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What do you do when you've a crippled Osiris out in, I don't know, Omicron Lambda or wherever you people do your business
[24.07.2025 04:12:34] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And that Osiris is about to be boarded by hostile forces.
[24.07.2025 04:12:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You scuttle it, right?
[24.07.2025 04:12:45] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Ward with all due respect the name of the game is gunship captaining, not ring-around-the-rosie.
[24.07.2025 04:13:08] Cantor: They are dancing! It's in the name.
[24.07.2025 04:13:16] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Now imagine it's the place where you build your Osirises. Osiroi. Whatever.
[24.07.2025 04:13:30] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: An apt idea, Cantor.
[24.07.2025 04:13:37] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Oh for fuck's sake..
[24.07.2025 04:13:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Not the sort of thing you want outsiders skulking around in life or in death.
[24.07.2025 04:14:02] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There, I've switched to pitch instead of yaw, better?
[24.07.2025 04:14:18] 34th|Melusine: It is all-alrighty, mon ami. I get the point. One question though. Mind me asking?
[24.07.2025 04:14:24] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Shoot.
[24.07.2025 04:14:46] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Yes, now you're a Ferris wheel.
[24.07.2025 04:15:10] TFP)-HFF-Sender: A big, fuck off, flying ferris wheel.
[24.07.2025 04:15:15] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There's a joke about people riding me in there somewhere.
[24.07.2025 04:15:26] 34th|Melusine: My scanners caught a couple of vessels on the edge of this cloud. One - the Avarice, a seemingly pirate one.
[24.07.2025 04:15:33] 34th|Melusine: Shot by one of yours?
[24.07.2025 04:15:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: A long, long time ago.
[24.07.2025 04:15:50] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Nails, contact, singleton - Freelancer.
[24.07.2025 04:15:51] Cantor: Freelancer on close-range scanners! Hello, starfarer.
[24.07.2025 04:15:51] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Predates my service record.
[24.07.2025 04:16:00] Greasy_Camel: he there
[24.07.2025 04:16:05] 34th|Melusine: So it is a warning, then.
[24.07.2025 04:16:05] Greasy_Camel: just passin through
[24.07.2025 04:16:12] Cantor: Farewell.
[24.07.2025 04:16:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm surprised it's still doing its job.
[24.07.2025 04:17:02] 34th|Melusine: You don't see much of wrecks thrown out like that.
[24.07.2025 04:17:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Well, you didn't. Nowadays, though.
[24.07.2025 04:17:58] 34th|Melusine: And one interest in pure history. Not that you can read in open sources. The Triton. What can you say of it?
[24.07.2025 04:18:24] 34th|Melusine: I heard, that this battlecruiser was almost a sole hero of the battle here.
[24.07.2025 04:18:24] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Little, personally. It came in with Knight's flotilla, not one of ours originally.
[24.07.2025 04:18:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Took the Delaware down with it, yeah.
[24.07.2025 04:18:49] Cantor: Oh. It is time for me to continue my journey. I will find you again! Goodbye!
[24.07.2025 04:18:56] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Be seeing you.
[24.07.2025 04:19:06] 34th|Melusine: Good luck among the stars, Cantor.
[24.07.2025 04:19:27] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Take care, Cantor! I hope to see you again.
[24.07.2025 04:19:59] 34th|Melusine: That got me wondering, why it is found on the edge of Guerrero and not close to Veracruz or Marshall.
[24.07.2025 04:20:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *Ward sighs a long, war-weary sigh.*
[24.07.2025 04:20:35] 34th|Melusine: You don't need to answer it fully and honestly.
[24.07.2025 04:21:03] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: The Dance For Me was engaged outside of Guadalajara - that's Veracruz's /real/ name, when the Triton went down.
[24.07.2025 04:21:26] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: If I had to guess, because I do need to guess, they skirted the edge of the field, weaving in and out of the rocks, -
[24.07.2025 04:21:40] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: making it difficult for the larger ship to pursue and acquire target lock.
[24.07.2025 04:21:47] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Good men and women.
[24.07.2025 04:21:52] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Good Legionnaires.
[24.07.2025 04:23:02] 34th|Melusine: Can imagine the cohesiveness. Hm. Looks like I am just about to learn a thing or two in tactics of capital ships.
[24.07.2025 04:23:13] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You get one more question out of me, and I'll answer truly.
[24.07.2025 04:23:18] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Choose wisely.
[24.07.2025 04:24:58] 34th|Melusine: An interesting proposal. Well then, asking you precisely about what it is in this cloud would be rude. And deadly, I presume.
[24.07.2025 04:25:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And I'm certain you could think of something more interesting to pick my brain on.
[24.07.2025 04:25:53] 34th|Melusine: Another thing's bothering me is the peculiar anomaly inside of it, as well as the jumphole. Anything you know about it?
[24.07.2025 04:26:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: It opened up after we left. Haven't had a chance to study it properly, but it doesn't seem much different than any of -
[24.07.2025 04:26:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: the others since the blackout.
