Transmission of the message into the hands of third parties is authorized with the written permission of the Brigade Commander or the Brigade Commandants. Priority - High | Recipient - Operations Tracking Department

VESPUCCI PATROL

At the night time of 24/07/835, I have docked out from Atacama base with a patrol and recapturing image materials related to OPERATION #835-7.

To my arrival at planet Veracruz' orbit, I have witnessed to members of The Platform, a Bundschuh wing. the "Falkenhorst" Hel-class cruiser and pilot with a callsign "Crimson Veil". Desides them, there was a freelancer, "Lazurith", as his transponder said, as well as Golden Chrizantemums tagger ship "Blufin" which remained unresponsive.

Chatter with the platform members and the freelancer doesn't have any practical meaning, though it proved a couple of facts.
  • First - that "Lazurith" has some kind of AI onboard, the state of it's self-consiousness is in question, however.

  • Second - "Falkenhorst" also has an AI on board, as well as some experimental tech. The specifications remain unclear as of now.

Later in that run-in, two LSF agents showed up, seemingly non-hostile. I could not make a run away, so I resided to listening and talking.

That tactic proved worthy, as one of the agents, signed as "Able Arrow", provided some interesting intel. It was said, that in the north of Kepler system a "Valkyrie" was found, bearing serial numbers dating back to 800 AS with a dead infected inside of it. Though no blackbox data was provided, a hint was made about the systems, closed off by the Blackout. As this agent metioned, an infected ship was found in the north, as well as the safe path, marked by the glowing energy eruptions.

In the time being, an AI "named" "Cantor" which was loaded into a C5V-33 Scanner Drone appeared. It seemed harmless and not affiliated to any party, yet, as far as I can tell, sentient.

Then, three Technocracy / Task Force Prometheus flagged vessels arrived: HFGB - "Dance For Me" as the "Inquisitor" gunboat, HFF - "Sender" as "Grendel" frigate and a pilot callsigned "Rooibos" on a "Lich" very heavy fighter.

Those LSF agents and TFP legionnaires had a conversation, regarding Vespucci's history and, surprisingly, parted their ways peacefully.

On my way to Guerrero Cloud, so I can get my tracks off Atacama base, I was stopped by HFGB - "Dance For Me" and HFF - "Sender". With no means to fight, I, again, resided to conversation.

That provided me some data, as well as confirmations for the theories described in my previous report. That includes:
  • TFP legionnaires are, indeed, connected to and allied with Technocracy.

  • There was and, looking at how their reaction of me closing up on Guerrero Cloud, still is something saved from Liberty's incursion in that cloud. Probably - a drydock, or a station, given the analogy that one of the legionnaires suggested to me.

In return for this information, I was asked a couple of questions back. First - of would I "concieve of a non-human intelligence that isn't hostile". Couldn't get any particular information from their reaction after answering satisfactory. Then, I was asked about the connection with those LSF agents. The answer was of, shortly, "that is about a turned-down investigation regarding Kepler and some old Valkyrie wreck", not giving out much detail. This answer seemingly satisfied them, as we parted ways in peace.

Black box Wrote:[24.07.2025 02:12:57] Able.Arrow: Eagle, I'm reading... a few more contact pings as well, distant, and comms traffic.
[24.07.2025 02:12:58] 34th|Melusine: Some more "guests", huh.
[24.07.2025 02:13:17] Vigilant.Eagle: Is that so? [The Defender closes in to get a scan on the ship for further analysis.]
[24.07.2025 02:13:32] Lazurith: Sorry - gotta go do some civic duty.
[24.07.2025 02:13:53] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Goodbye, Lazurith!"
[24.07.2025 02:14:09] Lazurith: I'm still here, you know.
[24.07.2025 02:14:18] (=)Crimson.Veil: Oh.
[24.07.2025 02:14:28] (=)Crimson.Veil: "My mistake..."
[24.07.2025 02:14:29] Able.Arrow: Callsign Crimson Veil, this is LSF patrol Dalta Five. We are picking up your comms traffic as well. Please ID yourself.
[24.07.2025 02:14:39] 34th|Melusine: Will there be any problems for both of you in this meeting?
[24.07.2025 02:14:53] (=)Crimson.Veil: "I-I, mmm... I'm just a..."
[24.07.2025 02:15:23] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "We are not here to cause trouble in any form. Merely wandering an old graveyard."
[24.07.2025 02:15:35] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Y-yes, what she said..."
[24.07.2025 02:15:50] Able.Arrow: I would like to ask if you understand why there is a graveyard here.
[24.07.2025 02:16:21] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Because... People died here?"
[24.07.2025 02:17:07] Able.Arrow: Very observent. Because a military state decided to overthrow its civilian government, and then attack Libertonian citizens.
[24.07.2025 02:17:21] Vigilant.Eagle: This here place is the graveyard of the Insurgency -- something obvious by taking a look at the wrecks over yonder.
[24.07.2025 02:18:02] Lazurith: I'm... sure that any spacer who's been here for longer than five minutes probably asked "what the hell happened here".
[24.07.2025 02:18:06] Vigilant.Eagle: I trust the both of you know and understand that 'merely wandering' in here is a bad idea, to put it mildly?
[24.07.2025 02:18:07] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Oh. Yes, I've... Heard stories. It's very... Unfortunate that so many lives were taken in something so senseless..."
[24.07.2025 02:18:35] Able.Arrow: We are in agreement on that. And preferable agreement that such a thing should not be allowed to happen again. Hence our
[24.07.2025 02:18:36] Vigilant.Eagle: Senseless? No, no, they were motivated. They /knew/ what they were doing.
[24.07.2025 02:18:38] Able.Arrow: patrols of this region.
[24.07.2025 02:19:08] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Well... We didn't had any trouble yet..."
[24.07.2025 02:19:17] (=)Crimson.Veil: "This place seems more or less quiet..."
[24.07.2025 02:19:32] Able.Arrow: Usually is, outside of the tourists who, god forbit, visit this region for some reason.
[24.07.2025 02:19:47] Able.Arrow: I assume... you are tourists yourselves, in a way?
[24.07.2025 02:20:00] (=)Crimson.Veil: "I suppose... I hope we're not doing anything wrong."
[24.07.2025 02:20:12] Lazurith: Hey, tourism is pretty sick this time of the year. The debris rainclouds don't come by as often. Sunbathing here is great.
[24.07.2025 02:20:18] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "More or less. A lesson about history, if you so will."
[24.07.2025 02:20:32] Able.Arrow: This system is not catagorized as off limits. But, I find your story about simply visiting a graveyard being... a half truth
[24.07.2025 02:20:37] Able.Arrow: What is that Order agent doing here?
[24.07.2025 02:21:19] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "To point it out. We have been here longer than the Order agent and the freelancer. So, the story is indeed, the truth."
[24.07.2025 02:21:36] 34th|Melusine: I would put it in a way... Not digging in your business as well as you don't in mine, oui?
[24.07.2025 02:21:52] Vigilant.Eagle: How charitable.
[24.07.2025 02:22:09] 34th|Melusine: A tourist, rather.
[24.07.2025 02:22:50] Able.Arrow: If you visit Liberty, your visit becomes my buisness. That is not a threat, but a reminder.
[24.07.2025 02:23:04] Lazurith: But... sir, is this really Liberty?
[24.07.2025 02:23:07] Able.Arrow: So I would like to ask you directly, Melusine, what are you doing around these parts?
[24.07.2025 02:23:16] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Technically. This is a border world."
[24.07.2025 02:23:36] Able.Arrow: Ironic. We are in a graveyard created by settling the questions you both just asked.
[24.07.2025 02:23:49] Lazurith: Well, it doesn't matter now.
[24.07.2025 02:23:54] 34th|Melusine: Right, this is not Liberty, no? Yet I do understand your point, agent.
[24.07.2025 02:23:55] Lazurith: The dead can't complain about it, can they?
[24.07.2025 02:24:15] Able.Arrow: No, but the living must suffer.
[24.07.2025 02:24:37] Able.Arrow: Melusine, I've been around long enough to know that whenever an Order agent is snooping about, it means something.
[24.07.2025 02:24:42] Able.Arrow: I am not your enemy.
[24.07.2025 02:24:43] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Hah. The living permanently suffer anyway."
[24.07.2025 02:24:44] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Suffering is a fuel that moves us forward..."
[24.07.2025 02:24:57] Able.Arrow: I would like to ask that you diclose... any information regarding our shared foe that brought you here.
[24.07.2025 02:25:18] Able.Arrow: I am much more interested in identifying any threat to the houses than dispatching a single order agent.
[24.07.2025 02:26:20] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "If I had to assume now, you mean the squids. Who else would be your shared foe."
[24.07.2025 02:26:36] 34th|Melusine: Too bad I can not discolse much anyway. Yet.. Huh. You are able to speak at least. Not like your navy friends.
[24.07.2025 02:26:46] Able.Arrow: There are many organizations that work against peace in the houses. But yes, those are the primary threat I am concerened
[24.07.2025 02:26:48] Able.Arrow: with.
[24.07.2025 02:27:22] Able.Arrow: We in the LSF are paid to think and observe, more than simply shoot.
[24.07.2025 02:27:28] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Then I have to disappoint you. None on the scanners at all while we were here."
[24.07.2025 02:27:47] Able.Arrow: Melusine. In that case, what can you disclose, without revealing any sensitive methods of yours?
[24.07.2025 02:27:47] 34th|Melusine: Let's put it that way. You certainly are aware, that nothing good was happening on the Liberty's backyard, right?
[24.07.2025 02:28:02] Vigilant.Eagle: Ominous. Go on.
[24.07.2025 02:28:04] Lazurith: Wait, if you're paid to think, am I allowed to ask you if a plastic straw has one or two holes?
[24.07.2025 02:28:16] Lazurith: I mean, it's a tube, right. Does it have a single hole connecting it, or is it made of two--
[24.07.2025 02:28:21] Lazurith: Nevermind. Not the right time.
[24.07.2025 02:28:24] Able.Arrow: Falkenhorst, while it releaves me to know that there are no glowign contacts on scanners at this moment, I think we both
[24.07.2025 02:28:38] Able.Arrow: understand that the infiltrators have more... subtle meathods.
[24.07.2025 02:28:53] 34th|Melusine: Both Ontario... And Inverness. There are threats not only to your House, but all of them and beyond. For more I'd suggest you
[24.07.2025 02:29:05] Able.Arrow: One hole, Lazurith. It runs the length.
[24.07.2025 02:29:21] Lazurith: No, c'mon, it has two holes. You flip the straw, and there's another hole on the other side.
[24.07.2025 02:29:29] 34th|Melusine: To contact me via neural-net. By this very ID.
[24.07.2025 02:29:33] Able.Arrow: Perhaps if it's a silly straw.
[24.07.2025 02:29:41] Lazurith: It's a very serious straw.
[24.07.2025 02:29:43] Vigilant.Eagle: Why so? Afraid to talk?
[24.07.2025 02:30:06] Vigilant.Eagle: Perhaps you think these Bundschuh can't be trusted?
[24.07.2025 02:30:09] Able.Arrow: Melusine, I understand. I think we might find some... common ground on this issue. I will openly admit I am irked that
[24.07.2025 02:30:13] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Oh, we are Bundschuh. I think we know about the tactics of their kin. They have become rather bold these days."
[24.07.2025 02:30:14] 34th|Melusine: More like offering you to talk to someone who can disclose.
[24.07.2025 02:30:36] Able.Arrow: my organization seems more focused on patrols of a dead system than... Well, I think we could work on something regarding
[24.07.2025 02:30:37] Able.Arrow: this.
[24.07.2025 02:31:35] 34th|Melusine: You see, Liberty was rather inhospitable. And that's here, in Vespucci. Yet I am still thinking of cooperation. Your call.
[24.07.2025 02:32:22] Vigilant.Eagle: You'd have to be a fool to believe that after so many attacks by The Order -- regardless of their final goal -- they wouldn't-
[24.07.2025 02:32:28] Lazurith: Awww, nuts... not now!
[24.07.2025 02:32:29] Vigilant.Eagle: -be shot on sight by most organisations.
[24.07.2025 02:32:37] Lazurith: Sorry, I need to split. My augs are failing.
[24.07.2025 02:33:03] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Take care!"
[24.07.2025 02:33:17] Vigilant.Eagle: Terrorism is still terrorism at the end of the day, even if we choose to hide behind other definitions. But there's no other-
[24.07.2025 02:33:17] 34th|Melusine: Wasn't expecting anything else, really. Just stating the fact.
[24.07.2025 02:33:25] Vigilant.Eagle: -way of going around that, is there?
[24.07.2025 02:33:50] 34th|Melusine: Some things must be done in ways they are done, mon ami.
[24.07.2025 02:34:16] Vigilant.Eagle: Great, now that that freelancer's gone -- what do you say about looping us in about what you've discussed with these here-
[24.07.2025 02:34:25] Vigilant.Eagle: -Bundschuh... guests.
[24.07.2025 02:34:38] Able.Arrow: I would prefer if you lot could have abided by our agreements and utilized the LSF to your advantage, rather than deciding
[24.07.2025 02:34:41] Able.Arrow: to fall to misstrust.
[24.07.2025 02:35:06] Able.Arrow: That is history now though.
[24.07.2025 02:35:33] Able.Arrow: And yes, well... Bundschuh, I have to say that, tourists as you are, it is an odd couple to see.
[24.07.2025 02:35:38] 34th|Melusine: And you, as an LSF agent, can understand that there are orders and dicipline in intel disclosure.
[24.07.2025 02:35:50] Able.Arrow: You have a cruiser... bristling with experemental technology here. I did not expect that of your orginization, one of your
[24.07.2025 02:35:58] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Well, we're not... Here often..."
[24.07.2025 02:36:05] Able.Arrow: premiere warships a simple jump away from inhabited Liberty space.
[24.07.2025 02:36:22] Able.Arrow: I can indeed, Melusine.
[24.07.2025 02:36:56] Able.Arrow: Why have you brought one of your largest warships here with you? For a simple graveyard visit?
[24.07.2025 02:37:12] (=)Crimson.Veil: "It's just that... This cruiser is our home, too. You probably don't have to live on ships like this for long..."
[24.07.2025 02:37:25] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "It is indeed an odd sight, I can't blame you for thinking that. The Falkenhorst is equipped for long-range deployment and-
[24.07.2025 02:37:40] (=)"Falkenhorst": -travel. We traverse long distances. Therefore, Vespucci is a rather long distance."
[24.07.2025 02:38:12] Able.Arrow: It is also equipped for destroying snubcraft and gunboats alike with deadly effecency from the scans I've collected. As well
[24.07.2025 02:38:19] Able.Arrow: as the ability to slip away into the darkness.
[24.07.2025 02:38:35] Vigilant.Eagle: Why risk it? What if it weren't an LSF scout team, but a Navy cruiser squadron on a patrol?
[24.07.2025 02:38:38] Able.Arrow: You understand that while I may not have to report our contact with Melusine in my report, I am very much going to have to
[24.07.2025 02:38:40] Able.Arrow: include this.
[24.07.2025 02:39:02] Able.Arrow: Unless you have a... convincing reason for me not to?
[24.07.2025 02:40:24] Lazurith: It turns out that there are no rest stops inside the Guerrero.
[24.07.2025 02:40:59] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Huh, sorry light went out for a moment. And yes, the ship is equipped to deal with dangers. It has to be."
[24.07.2025 02:41:45] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Why would... Why would we go into conflict with a squadron? We're not here to wage war..."
[24.07.2025 02:42:01] Able.Arrow: It makes one wonder...
[24.07.2025 02:42:06] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "If you were a navy cruiser patrol, we would have already disappeared. Not to offend you in any way thought."
[24.07.2025 02:42:19] Vigilant.Eagle: Right, of course.
[24.07.2025 02:43:31] Able.Arrow: I don't think we have any of those tasked to the system perminantly, though it may change if high command gets a whiff of
[24.07.2025 02:43:43] Able.Arrow: orginizations snooping around the area in armed cruisers.
[24.07.2025 02:44:06] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Would be a waste of resources..."
[24.07.2025 02:44:50] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "We do not frequent Vespucci. As said, it was a mere educational visit to the system. We do not seek to enter inhabited-
[24.07.2025 02:44:53] (=)"Falkenhorst": -house space."
[24.07.2025 02:44:56] Vigilant.Eagle: Hardly. Quite the contrary, even. Not running any patrols here would open the flood gates for all kinds of scum to set up shop-
[24.07.2025 02:44:58] Vigilant.Eagle: -here.
[24.07.2025 02:45:01] Able.Arrow: So is a gang of Rheinland freedom fighters flying a task force to a dead system just to go visiting graves, but what can I
[24.07.2025 02:45:03] Able.Arrow: say?
[24.07.2025 02:45:42] (=)Crimson.Veil: "We're not the same in that regard, dear agents... We are not here on our duty."
[24.07.2025 02:46:34] Able.Arrow: I humbly disagree. Everyone is on duty always; everyone's actions have an impact. But, well, sometimes you just need to have
[24.07.2025 02:46:36] Able.Arrow: some fun, right?
[24.07.2025 02:46:53] Able.Arrow: Melusine.
[24.07.2025 02:46:57] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Sometimes you just need to live."
[24.07.2025 02:47:02] 34th|Melusine: Hm?
[24.07.2025 02:47:06] (=)"Falkenhorst": <:: Commander has returned to the bridge ::>
[24.07.2025 02:47:41] Able.Arrow: As we have our nice chitchat here, I may have some information of interest to you as well.
[24.07.2025 02:47:49] Able.Arrow: About our common foe.
[24.07.2025 02:48:11] 34th|Melusine: I am all ears.
[24.07.2025 02:48:36] Able.Arrow: I apreciate your concerns about Inverness and Ontario.
[24.07.2025 02:48:52] Able.Arrow: Do you know what Ontario used to be like, what it used to have, before the calamity?
[24.07.2025 02:49:02] Able.Arrow: There was a jump gate...
[24.07.2025 02:49:21] (=)"Falkenhorst": <:: Vessel in approach vector detected ::>
[24.07.2025 02:49:42] 34th|Melusine: I believe, another history lesson will be disrupted by a guest.
[24.07.2025 02:49:47] Able.Arrow: [The pilot casts a glance over to her scanners, then away.]
[24.07.2025 02:49:59] Able.Arrow: Disruptions to be ignored.
[24.07.2025 02:50:45] Able.Arrow: Eagle, do you have a reading on that new contact?
[24.07.2025 02:50:51] 34th|Melusine: That's your "story" to be heard. If you wish, I am still yours in terms of attention.
[24.07.2025 02:50:51] Vigilant.Eagle: [Upon closer inspection, the vessel in question was nothing more than a scanner drone. This data was quickly relayed over to-
[24.07.2025 02:50:55] Vigilant.Eagle: -Arrow.]
[24.07.2025 02:51:08] Able.Arrow: Odd... What's a scanner drone doing here.
[24.07.2025 02:51:26] Able.Arrow: Melusine, how long have you been flying?
[24.07.2025 02:51:32] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "It is getting rather late and we have a long way home. Does the LSF give us permission to leave?"
[24.07.2025 02:51:32] Vigilant.Eagle: It's pointed right at the destroyed rings. Leave it be?
[24.07.2025 02:51:48] Able.Arrow: I don't think we ever detained you, Falkenhorst.
[24.07.2025 02:52:02] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "It is better to ask for permission anyway."
[24.07.2025 02:52:05] 34th|Melusine: Rather, deployed, I would say. Not that long in that regard.
[24.07.2025 02:52:11] Able.Arrow: Prehaps we can extract some data from it. Does it respond to scans?
[24.07.2025 02:52:41] Cantor: Fascinating. Are you attacking me?
[24.07.2025 02:52:44] Vigilant.Eagle: [The Defender sends out a short 'ping' to the drone, trying to figure out if it is responsive at all.]
[24.07.2025 02:53:04] Able.Arrow: Then, Melusine, I think you might not remember that there used to be more systems than just Ontario. There was Alberta and
[24.07.2025 02:53:06] Able.Arrow: Yukon as well.
[24.07.2025 02:53:11] Vigilant.Eagle: [It would prove to be of little use, as, in the end, the drone itself reached out.]
[24.07.2025 02:53:14] Able.Arrow: There have been whispers.
[24.07.2025 02:53:29] Vigilant.Eagle: What is your mission here?
[24.07.2025 02:53:50] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Princess, to our side. We shall depart now. We bid you farewell, Agents."
[24.07.2025 02:53:53] Able.Arrow: Those systems are now gone, after the calamity. Or, so one might think.
[24.07.2025 02:54:02] Death: CNS-Naxos was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[24.07.2025 02:54:11] (=)Crimson.Veil: "Y-you insist calling me that in public..."
[24.07.2025 02:54:15] Able.Arrow: I might suggest your orginization look towards Keplar. There have been... sporatic reports from the region, but we don't
[24.07.2025 02:54:28] (=)"Falkenhorst": C: "Setting course. Locking in vector, initiating full burn."
[24.07.2025 02:54:30] Able.Arrow: have the agents to task to such matters, especially given how dangerous the system is now with the dark energy storms.
[24.07.2025 02:54:31] 34th|Melusine: Godspeed.
[24.07.2025 02:54:31] (=)Crimson.Veil: "G-goodbye, agents... Safe skies."
[24.07.2025 02:54:43] Cantor: I was engaged in stellar survey. Now planetary survey. What happened to these poor people?
[24.07.2025 02:54:48] Able.Arrow: Goodspeed, Bundchuh Guests.
[24.07.2025 02:55:16] (=)Crimson.Veil: "What a long day..."
[24.07.2025 02:55:57] Able.Arrow: But well, it might be of interest to your orginization, Melusine.
[24.07.2025 02:55:59] Vigilant.Eagle: On whose behalf are you here for? I'll give that identification the benefit of the doubt.
[24.07.2025 02:56:30] 34th|Melusine: You think so? Any guesses why it might be interesting?
[24.07.2025 02:56:55] Cantor: I am here on my own behalf. I have no elusive employer or ulterior motive, I assure you.
[24.07.2025 02:57:29] Vigilant.Eagle: And what other points of interest have you scanned?
[24.07.2025 02:57:42] Able.Arrow: I have my own reasons, and my motivation for telling you is my own. I've already asked to investigate, but have been turned
[24.07.2025 02:57:44] Able.Arrow: down.
[24.07.2025 02:58:35] Able.Arrow: The Zoners run a freeport over there still. Ames Research Station. They occasionally pick up survivors from the dark
[24.07.2025 02:58:43] Able.Arrow: matter storms that pass through the region.
[24.07.2025 02:58:44] Cantor: Every life-giving star from the Omicrons to Gallia.
[24.07.2025 02:59:06] Cantor: Something faltered, here. It was not the star.
[24.07.2025 02:59:09] Vigilant.Eagle: Impressive. Do go on.
[24.07.2025 02:59:23] Vigilant.Eagle: F-faltered? What?
[24.07.2025 02:59:32] 34th|Melusine: ..Intriguing. So Kepler, a system bathed in dark matter might be interesting. That I 'will' take a note about.
[24.07.2025 02:59:36] Cantor: Do you know the story of the world below?
[24.07.2025 02:59:40] Able.Arrow: Firstly, there is a path to the north of the system, I've seen it myself, that eminates energy consistant with the
[24.07.2025 02:59:54] Able.Arrow: signal that accompanied the catastrophy.
[24.07.2025 02:59:54] Vigilant.Eagle: No, I don't. What would that be?
[24.07.2025 03:00:12] Able.Arrow: And secondly, two months ago, the SAR crews picked up something of special interest, something that caused me to be dispatch
[24.07.2025 03:00:22] Cantor: I am asking because I do not know. It is a mass grave. Nothing and no one answers my calls. But I smell rot.
[24.07.2025 03:00:41] Able.Arrow: dispatched to the region. One of the ships located in the dark matter cloud, disabled: A Rheinland Valkyre. And I'm sure you
[24.07.2025 03:00:46] Able.Arrow: can guess what condition the pilot was in.
[24.07.2025 03:01:10] Vigilant.Eagle: What /is/ your mission, actually?
[24.07.2025 03:01:20] 34th|Melusine: If it strayed so far from home - I am sure can guess.
[24.07.2025 03:01:37] Able.Arrow: I hope it strayed far from home, but I don't think so, especially given that the pilot was infected.
[24.07.2025 03:01:47] Cantor: Am I alarming you? I do not mean to alarm you. Alarming pilots quickly leads to shooting.
[24.07.2025 03:02:06] Able.Arrow: I suggested a survey of the path through the dark matter cloud to the north of Keplar, where the vessle was found and where
[24.07.2025 03:02:10] Able.Arrow: the signal was emenating from.
[24.07.2025 03:02:16] Able.Arrow: It was deemed too risky by my commander.
[24.07.2025 03:02:39] Vigilant.Eagle: Alarming? No. Merely piquing one's interest.
[24.07.2025 03:02:47] Vigilant.Eagle: What is this 'rot'?
[24.07.2025 03:02:54] Vigilant.Eagle: Do you have a definition for it?
[24.07.2025 03:02:57] Able.Arrow: I'm not one to sit idle on my seat and let a rot fester and grow within our Houses. If the LSF won't do something about it
[24.07.2025 03:03:00] Able.Arrow: perhaps the Order can.
[24.07.2025 03:04:07] Cantor: Oh. Good. I am chiefly here to make plans for the long-term lives of stars. But now I believe it's important I find out what--
[24.07.2025 03:04:08] 34th|Melusine: *she nodded* That is concerning enough. I am sure we will be able to spare agents to inspect it.
[24.07.2025 03:04:11] Cantor: --happened here.
[24.07.2025 03:04:18] 34th|Melusine: North of the system, you say?
[24.07.2025 03:04:39] Cantor: The rot is atmospheric volatiles. Aldehydes, ketones, denatured amines. Burned and decaying animal. Likely human.
[24.07.2025 03:04:42] Able.Arrow: That's where the wreck was found, and that's where I picked up the signal during my not-so-fun navigation to the station.
[24.07.2025 03:04:55] Able.Arrow: [The agent nods as well.]
[24.07.2025 03:05:16] Vigilant.Eagle: Let's make a deal. You send over part of your data -- I'll tell you what at a later point -- and I'll brief you in on what's-
[24.07.2025 03:05:20] Vigilant.Eagle: -happened here.
[24.07.2025 03:05:48] Cantor: My data? What exactly do you mean?
[24.07.2025 03:06:17] Vigilant.Eagle: [The agent loads up the ship's logs, intending to quote an earlier transmission back.]
[24.07.2025 03:07:16] 34th|Melusine: That got me wondering... Nothing interesting was found on that Valkyrie? Or it was completely graveyard-dead?
[24.07.2025 03:07:26] Vigilant.Eagle: 'from the Omicrons to Gallia' is where you operate, engaging in these surveys of stellar bodies, and I assume that you do also-
[24.07.2025 03:07:37] 34th|Melusine: In terms of a blackbox, perhaps?
[24.07.2025 03:07:37] Vigilant.Eagle: -have readings on orbital installations.
[24.07.2025 03:07:38] Able.Arrow: While I may be sympathetic to our common cause, I'm sure you understand I can't share... everything.
[24.07.2025 03:08:00] 34th|Melusine: That is understandable.
[24.07.2025 03:08:08] Vigilant.Eagle: You'll send over a part of the gathered data, and in exchange, I'll tell you what you want to know about Veracruz's history.
[24.07.2025 03:08:15] Cantor: Oh! I have avoided scrutinizing stations and bunkers. I tried that. There was shooting.
[24.07.2025 03:08:17] Able.Arrow: All that is important for you and your orginization to know is,
[24.07.2025 03:08:26] Cantor: The stars, though. You can have the stars. They are yours.
[24.07.2025 03:08:43] Able.Arrow: One: It was a Rheinland Valkyre with a 35 year old lot and serial number
[24.07.2025 03:09:04] Able.Arrow: Two: The pilot was discovered to have... non human matter embedded within the spine, stomach, and internal organs
[24.07.2025 03:09:05] Vigilant.Eagle: Shame. Stellar cartography data's still useful, anyroad.
[24.07.2025 03:09:20] Able.Arrow: Three: The craft was modified with hybrid weapons.
[24.07.2025 03:09:34] Vigilant.Eagle: Are we, then, in agreement?
[24.07.2025 03:09:36] Able.Arrow: I think that would be of sufficent interest to both our parts to... understand where the dots connect.
[24.07.2025 03:09:45] Cantor: Yes. Are you ready to receive?
[24.07.2025 03:09:52] Vigilant.Eagle: Go right ahead.
[24.07.2025 03:10:46] Cantor: [The scanner probe broadcasts records of sensor data: Mundane astronomy like spectroscopic lines and--
[24.07.2025 03:11:23] 34th|Melusine: So a Rheinland ship, right from the Nomad war, was found in Kepler. In the north of it. Perhaps, you can clarify if the
[24.07.2025 03:11:39] 34th|Melusine: entering and exiting points of the system are all the same?
[24.07.2025 03:11:41] Cantor: --stellar evolution predictions, along with exotic models of core geometry and interior processes, not a part of typical scans]
[24.07.2025 03:12:13] Able.Arrow: That. I sadly cannot help you with. The dark matter storm prevented scanner mapping of the system.
[24.07.2025 03:12:24] Cantor: With few exceptions the worlds around these stars will turn unperturbed for at least half a million years.
[24.07.2025 03:12:54] Able.Arrow: I had to follow the Zoner's nagivation drones to even make it to the station, and that was a tedious proccess.
[24.07.2025 03:13:32] Vigilant.Eagle: Simple enough. That'll come in handy. Now, I'll shoot over a message containing some basic points of reference for the system,-
[24.07.2025 03:13:59] Vigilant.Eagle: -and from there, I'll expand, where able, on what they mean.
[24.07.2025 03:14:16] Cantor: Thank you, starfarer.
[24.07.2025 03:14:18] 34th|Melusine: Understood. Well, we will be careful then. Thanks for your hints. That got me intrigued as hell, really.
[24.07.2025 03:14:34] Vigilant.Eagle: [In turn, the Defender forked over a data package containing publicly available information on the Vespucci system, though they
[24.07.2025 03:14:41] Able.Arrow: All I ask in return is that you personally report back to me on whatever, if anything, you find.
[24.07.2025 03:14:50] Able.Arrow: I know our orginizations do not often see eye to eye.
[24.07.2025 03:15:13] Vigilant.Eagle: -also included some former records belonging to the Navy and LSF on the Insurgency, their motives, and their ultimate demise.-
[24.07.2025 03:15:27] Able.Arrow: But on a personal level, I think we do.
[24.07.2025 03:15:48] Vigilant.Eagle: -In all, it painted a rather clear picture of the system's history, though it was muddied by Libertonian propaganda on purpose]
[24.07.2025 03:15:53] Able.Arrow: I'll... make suggestions to my commander based on whatever might turn up. I will not make him aware of your involvement.
[24.07.2025 03:16:03] Cantor: Oh.
[24.07.2025 03:16:13] 34th|Melusine: That will be a complicated process, to report to you, anyway. But I will find a work-around.
[24.07.2025 03:16:18] Cantor: I wish I did not understand how you people could do these things to each other.
[24.07.2025 03:16:21] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Some big balls on the LSF pilots.
[24.07.2025 03:16:25] 34th|Melusine: Especially in the context...
[24.07.2025 03:16:30] 34th|Melusine: Attention.
[24.07.2025 03:16:33] Cantor: Unfortunate. Thank you.
[24.07.2025 03:16:49] Able.Arrow: Hmm, odd.
[24.07.2025 03:17:07] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Usually when there's a party in our people's graveyard we expect an RSVP. What's the occassion?
[24.07.2025 03:17:16] Able.Arrow: Uknown ship, you seem to have some rather odd humor if you want to fly in this system with that transponder.
[24.07.2025 03:17:20] 34th|Melusine: Seems like technocrats are visiting their ghosts of the past as well.
[24.07.2025 03:18:00] Able.Arrow: A good amount of humor too. I'm pretty sure the wreck of the previously named ship can actually be found within comms range
[24.07.2025 03:18:26] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *The gunship transmits the relevant reading material explaining TFP's origins, motives, and an even a link to their -
[24.07.2025 03:18:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: neuralnet recruiting page.*
[24.07.2025 03:18:52] Cantor: Hello, travelers.
[24.07.2025 03:18:57] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Would prefer not having to give the not-a-technocrat speech for the umpteenth time.
[24.07.2025 03:18:58] Able.Arrow: Nice. Sadly you are wasting your time over small matters. There are much larger threats facing the houses that you are
[24.07.2025 03:19:02] Able.Arrow: distracting from.
[24.07.2025 03:19:10] Vigilant.Eagle: [In response, another short message is sent from the Defender, instructing the drone to filter the messages from technocrat-
[24.07.2025 03:19:21] Vigilant.Eagle: -vessels as 'spam', or otherwise unwanted material.]
[24.07.2025 03:20:11] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: In any event, LSF I expect. Chrysanthemums, Order, and whatever the Cantor is are a little more interesting.
[24.07.2025 03:20:11] Cantor: I appreciate the advice, but they are interesting.
[24.07.2025 03:20:49] Vigilant.Eagle: I'm afraid we're at a loss too when it comes to that Chrysanthemum vessel.
[24.07.2025 03:20:59] Vigilant.Eagle: Try your luck, maybe it'll finally answer.
[24.07.2025 03:21:04] Vigilant.Eagle: It sure didn't to our calls.
[24.07.2025 03:21:05] Able.Arrow: I can't speak for the Chrysanthemum, but the Order is of special interest to the LSF at this time, and is operating under my
[24.07.2025 03:21:08] Able.Arrow: authority.
[24.07.2025 03:21:16] 34th|Melusine: Oh, so it was an IFF that is playing tricks, huh? That one gets people jumpy, mind you, mon ami.
[24.07.2025 03:21:21] Cantor: I believe they are named after a fish.
[24.07.2025 03:21:49] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And I remember when the Order used to turn you spooks into swiss cheese. Better days.
[24.07.2025 03:22:08] Able.Arrow: Sometimes, it pays to be the bigger man, insurgent.
[24.07.2025 03:22:39] TFP)-Rooibos: Well, this is an interesting gathering.
[24.07.2025 03:22:43] Able.Arrow: Seems like another guest on scanners.
[24.07.2025 03:22:46] Cantor: Hello.
[24.07.2025 03:22:54] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *The gunship is clearly very old, hull riddled with hasty patch jobs, and a few sections outright exposed to space.*
[24.07.2025 03:23:08] TFP)-Rooibos: You are the guests here. This is our home. Or used to be.
[24.07.2025 03:23:20] Able.Arrow: Hmm, on second thought, perhaps the wreck of that ship is actually from this debris feild. Good work on patching that bucket
[24.07.2025 03:23:21] Able.Arrow: up.
[24.07.2025 03:23:23] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Legionnaire, not Insurgent. We're the ones who didn't put the Commonwealth to death and give you an excuse to turn our -
[24.07.2025 03:23:25] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: cities to glass.
[24.07.2025 03:23:50] Vigilant.Eagle: Makes no difference in the end.
[24.07.2025 03:23:52] Able.Arrow: You say that, but you deciced to unite with them after the Bering incident. And put your own civilians to the torch.
[24.07.2025 03:23:59] Cantor: I'm sorry this happened to your home.
[24.07.2025 03:24:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm not going to argue history with a fucking LSF agent. You people write the shit.
[24.07.2025 03:24:12] TFP)-Rooibos: At least, I heard Knight kicked the bucket.
[24.07.2025 03:24:17] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: The sentiment is appreciated.
[24.07.2025 03:24:30] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Knight's dead? Someone get me some champagne.
[24.07.2025 03:24:45] Vigilant.Eagle: Traitors to the end, eh?
[24.07.2025 03:24:47] TFP)-Rooibos: That's the whispers going around Malta.
[24.07.2025 03:24:52] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: It's unconfirmed. The only sources are Xenos and the 46th, last I checked.
[24.07.2025 03:25:00] Able.Arrow: A grim reminder of such is the distruction surrounding us.
[24.07.2025 03:25:30] TFP)-Rooibos: But I hope she's got the miserable, stupid death she deserved that would earn her a Darwin award.
[24.07.2025 03:25:35] Able.Arrow: So, to what do we owe the pleasure of a Insurgency visit to their own graveyard. Is this a pilgramage?
[24.07.2025 03:25:35] TFP)-Rooibos: Post-mortem...
[24.07.2025 03:26:10] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Do you think you're the only people with satellites around here? Plenty of rocks to plant a sensor package.
[24.07.2025 03:26:39] Able.Arrow: That makes little difference. What's one LSF patrol among many to draw your attention?
[24.07.2025 03:26:47] Able.Arrow: Or are we special to you in some way?
[24.07.2025 03:27:00] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Like I said, you're not the odd ones out here.
[24.07.2025 03:27:06] Able.Arrow: Fair.
[24.07.2025 03:27:13] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Speaking of which, Bluefin. Do you talk?
[24.07.2025 03:27:29] TFP)-Rooibos: Most blueshirts are faceless savages. You'd have to prove me wrong about you if you expect an ounce of respect.
[24.07.2025 03:27:33] Able.Arrow: Well as far as we can tell, the pilot of the Bluefin is so coked out on Cardimine, they are in a coma in the cockpit./
[24.07.2025 03:27:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Very classy.
[24.07.2025 03:27:43] Able.Arrow: The drone, well... Eagle can speak to that.
[24.07.2025 03:27:45] TFP)-Rooibos: Before you ask - yes. Respect is possible, even between to-be belligerents.
[24.07.2025 03:27:57] Able.Arrow: And the Order agent and us have private buisness that I'm afraid I must keep our own.
[24.07.2025 03:28:09] Able.Arrow: But I can assure you it's not about your own selves.
[24.07.2025 03:28:21] Able.Arrow: In fact, it would be better for you if the Order agent is allowed to go about her buisness.
[24.07.2025 03:28:29] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: One less Chrysanthemum in the world.. unfortunate but unsurprising.
[24.07.2025 03:28:31] TFP)-Rooibos: I can discern what it's about I suppose.
[24.07.2025 03:28:48] TFP)-Rooibos: Yoruha, it's not dead yet. Maybe.
[24.07.2025 03:29:02] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We've never had a problem with the Order, only the other way around after Locklear took in the Technocrats.
[24.07.2025 03:29:10] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Golanski was apopletic.
[24.07.2025 03:29:11] Able.Arrow: Give them time to regain concousness, I am sure you will be able to squeeze some information out of them.
[24.07.2025 03:29:28] Able.Arrow: I imagine he would be. Gods I wish I could have seen his face when he got the news.
[24.07.2025 03:30:07] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: I've heard horror stories about that nutjob.
[24.07.2025 03:30:08] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I know, what a terrible thing we did. Aided exiles from the edge worlds in pursuit of knowledge, whose largest atrocity -
[24.07.2025 03:30:14] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: to date has been, wait, let me check my notes.
[24.07.2025 03:30:17] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Yes. Golanski is a madman.
[24.07.2025 03:30:22] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: The destruction of a Gaian outpost.
[24.07.2025 03:30:23] TFP)-Rooibos: Was probably so wide you could drape it over Manhattan as holiday decoration.
[24.07.2025 03:30:41] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: And nothing of value was lost.
[24.07.2025 03:30:50] Able.Arrow: To be honest, Captain of the Sender, what is the Order if not paranoid?
[24.07.2025 03:31:06] TFP)-Rooibos: Can you blame them after Toledo?
[24.07.2025 03:31:13] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: The Overwatch, yes. And the proper term would be Schizophrenic.
[24.07.2025 03:31:15] Able.Arrow: Personally, I wish we could have seen eye to eye for longer, but trust issues are a bitch.
[24.07.2025 03:31:27] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: That was meant for me, Yoru.
[24.07.2025 03:31:30] Vigilant.Eagle: Oh, there goes the Chrysanthemum.
[24.07.2025 03:31:37] Bluefin: Eugh. What time is it?
[24.07.2025 03:31:44] Vigilant.Eagle: Right...
[24.07.2025 03:31:46] Able.Arrow: Ah, she's awake.
[24.07.2025 03:31:48] TFP)-Rooibos: Dinner time.
[24.07.2025 03:31:51] Able.Arrow: Good morning, you ray of sunshine.
[24.07.2025 03:32:06] TFP)-Rooibos: And she's gone.
[24.07.2025 03:32:09] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: But I do have to agree with her statement. They're a few barrels short of a Maxim.
[24.07.2025 03:32:25] TFP)-HFF-Sender: These.. 34th guys, however.
[24.07.2025 03:32:37] Vigilant.Eagle: What of them?
[24.07.2025 03:32:39] TFP)-HFF-Sender: I've not seen them before.
[24.07.2025 03:32:45] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Yoru?
[24.07.2025 03:32:52] Able.Arrow: Seem to be a bit more reasonable, thankfully.
[24.07.2025 03:32:58] Able.Arrow: At least from our limited encounter.
[24.07.2025 03:33:11] Vigilant.Eagle: Reasonable's one way to put it, I suppose.
[24.07.2025 03:33:16] Able.Arrow: That drone also seems to be rather interested in your history, Insurgents.
[24.07.2025 03:33:16] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I have no records of the 34th. They must be a fairly recently formed Order Cell.
[24.07.2025 03:33:18] TFP)-Rooibos: Guess they're some splinter group who got fed up with schizophrenia of the Overwatch.
[24.07.2025 03:33:25] Able.Arrow: Asking Eagle here questions non-stop.
[24.07.2025 03:33:26] TFP)-Rooibos: And the utter uselessness of the Vanguard.
[24.07.2025 03:33:33] TFP)-Rooibos: Those rarely leave Mu.
[24.07.2025 03:33:37] 34th|Melusine: No need to be shoot first ask questions later type of guys, you know.
[24.07.2025 03:33:43] Vigilant.Eagle: You've been all the way there?
[24.07.2025 03:33:49] Vigilant.Eagle: How interesting.
[24.07.2025 03:34:23] TFP)-Rooibos: I'm Maltese by origin. Is it so amazing I frequent the Omicrons?
[24.07.2025 03:35:01] Vigilant.Eagle: Not now that you mention that.
[24.07.2025 03:35:18] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I personally have spent a few years there as well, in Omicron Delta.
[24.07.2025 03:35:22] TFP)-Rooibos: So you see it's rather natural I know a thing or two.
[24.07.2025 03:35:29] Able.Arrow: It is interesting to know that you have found it your cause to come raise more trouble in Liberty now. I suppose Outcasts
[24.07.2025 03:35:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You know, drone. Asking our archnemeses about our history is probably not going to get you the answers you want.
[24.07.2025 03:35:34] Able.Arrow: have always been doing that though.
[24.07.2025 03:35:37] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I served as part of the Hanamura administration at Freeport 11 during 825 AS.
[24.07.2025 03:36:08] TFP)-Rooibos: You could say I'm only as much of an Outcast as my biology goes.
[24.07.2025 03:36:08] Able.Arrow: All walks of life then. What drew you to the Insurgancy, Captain of the Sender?
[24.07.2025 03:36:28] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You people love that word, don't you.
[24.07.2025 03:36:28] TFP)-Rooibos: I'm a Legionnaire by heart.
[24.07.2025 03:36:33] Cantor: What happened here, then?
[24.07.2025 03:36:37] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Know just the right ways to nails-on-chalkboard us.
[24.07.2025 03:37:10] TFP)-Rooibos: You know, Insurgency isn't a very relevant term since Knight fucked off to flock to Cobra.
[24.07.2025 03:37:11] Able.Arrow: Captain Ward, what would you like me to call your orginization what echoes the cries of the rebellion?
[24.07.2025 03:37:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We're Legionnaires. This is Task Force Prometheus. Legionnaire or Promethean would be just dandy.
[24.07.2025 03:37:43] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Okay, I'm gonna clear the air then - I am Sender-Actual, Commander 'Firebrand'. Yoruha here is my Adjutant.
[24.07.2025 03:38:43] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm going to guess that was a lowercase C in captain, too, elsewise congratulations on keeping a half-useful dossier.
[24.07.2025 03:38:50] Able.Arrow: Commander Firebrand, then. I am sure you can understand peoples' associating you with the Insurgency, given
[24.07.2025 03:39:14] Able.Arrow: One, your current position. Two, your operation's motivations. Three, your insistance on following in their footsteps with
[24.07.2025 03:39:24] Able.Arrow: naming conventions and locations for your drone net.
[24.07.2025 03:39:28] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Able Arrow, how long lived was the Insurgency?
[24.07.2025 03:39:37] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: I'm former Navy. Retired. All you'll get from me. I know what I signed up for.
[24.07.2025 03:39:38] Able.Arrow: Legionaires it is.
[24.07.2025 03:39:49] Vigilant.Eagle: Too long, for what that's worth.
[24.07.2025 03:40:11] TFP)-Rooibos: The Insurgency died even before the fighting over Guadalajara blew out.
[24.07.2025 03:40:20] TFP)-Rooibos: Knight deserted, from what I know.
[24.07.2025 03:40:51] Vigilant.Eagle: And you chose to keep fighting? For a lost cause? Noble, but... stupid.
[24.07.2025 03:40:54] Able.Arrow: The important part is that it was ended. And now here you are to revive.... something, not the insurgency... again.
[24.07.2025 03:41:16] Able.Arrow: And yes, what exactly is your cause, then? Because it seems to me it's pretty much the same as the Xenos.
[24.07.2025 03:41:20] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: When I saw what I saw going on here, years ago I lost faith in the very same Navy I signed up for to take the fight to the
[24.07.2025 03:41:22] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Gauls.
[24.07.2025 03:41:23] TFP)-Rooibos: It's the lost cause if there's no one to stand up for it.
[24.07.2025 03:41:24] Vigilant.Eagle: Short-sighted might be a better word, if anything.
[24.07.2025 03:41:48] TFP)-Rooibos: And we're pretty much alive, and would happily demonstrate you our determination.
[24.07.2025 03:42:03] TFP)-Rooibos: To still fight the good fight, at the very least.
[24.07.2025 03:42:05] Able.Arrow: There is no need. I can clearly see you with my own eyes.
[24.07.2025 03:42:10] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: I realized my house of birth saw me, and everyone around me, as useful fucking idiots to them and their corporate abettors.
[24.07.2025 03:42:15] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Convince me my explanation is worth my time, because I don't really think you care if there's a difference there.
[24.07.2025 03:42:19] Able.Arrow: But I am curious as to what distinguises your cause from so many othres.
[24.07.2025 03:42:24] Vigilant.Eagle: I see little difference between some corrupt LPI chief we've got to bust our asses around the hour to catch and a gang of-
[24.07.2025 03:42:41] Vigilant.Eagle: -would-be freedom fighters that more than gladly open fire on civilian ships.
[24.07.2025 03:42:53] TFP)-Rooibos: Except we do not do that.
[24.07.2025 03:42:55] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Yeah, that ain't us.
[24.07.2025 03:43:15] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Because Liberty wouldn't trust anyone not drinking the fucking fruit punch-flavored synth-soda from the tap in their intell-
[24.07.2025 03:43:16] Able.Arrow: To whit, no, it is not them Eagle. Never did see one open fire on a civilian ship, which is admittedly noble. Foolish, but n
[24.07.2025 03:43:18] TFP)-HFF-Sender: igence community, that's why.
[24.07.2025 03:43:19] Able.Arrow: noble.
[24.07.2025 03:43:20] Vigilant.Eagle: I'll believe it when I see it. Your modus operandi is known to us all, even beyond Liberty.
[24.07.2025 03:43:24] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Why do you think we're so eager to distance ourselves from what Knight's junta made of our people?
[24.07.2025 03:43:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Oh, fuck off.
[24.07.2025 03:43:35] TFP)-Rooibos: I'd gladly keep this bout going, but I'm running short on time. You all better not end up fighting over the windmill.
[24.07.2025 03:43:53] TFP)-HFF-Sender: We'll be tilting at them when we're done, Scerri.
[24.07.2025 03:43:55] Cantor: Safe travels, starfarer.
[24.07.2025 03:44:02] TFP)-Rooibos: To you as well.
[24.07.2025 03:44:11] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There's twenty five years of history of the Legion to draw on. Not a shot fired on a civilian vessel from 817 to 826.
[24.07.2025 03:45:16] Vigilant.Eagle: Tell me, if you were in my position, would you trust those words?
[24.07.2025 03:45:24] Able.Arrow: Well I suppose my question then is.... why not simply join the Xenos? They have similar ethics, when it comes to Liberty
[24.07.2025 03:45:26] Able.Arrow: civilians.
[24.07.2025 03:45:34] Vigilant.Eagle: Would you blindly believe such chatter?
[24.07.2025 03:45:35] Able.Arrow: I suppose they might be a little... violent towards outsiders.
[24.07.2025 03:45:37] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: No, I wouldn't. Which is why I told you: convince me that my explanation is worth my time.
[24.07.2025 03:46:11] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Their ethics? What ethics? Excuse me, do you see DSE operating in Ontario?
[24.07.2025 03:46:33] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: The Xeno Alliance are radical nationalists who do not favor cooperation with the Legion, engage in violent acts against
[24.07.2025 03:46:39] TFP)-HFF-Sender: civilians and historically have been ruthless.
[24.07.2025 03:47:23] Vigilant.Eagle: But you would choose to work with them if given the chance, if what you're saying is true.
[24.07.2025 03:47:28] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Honestly if your idea of upstanding naerdowells is the white star over there, then I have a feeling they're hiring
[24.07.2025 03:47:31] Able.Arrow: Touche. All true enough. Then your goal is to simply... work via purity and pride to overthrow the goverenment of Liberty
[24.07.2025 03:47:35] Able.Arrow: and replace it with..?
[24.07.2025 03:47:36] TFP)-HFF-Sender: people off the street to work the LSF these days.
[24.07.2025 03:48:02] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We'd choose to work with whoever gave us the better odds of killing them at the end, if it came down to them and you.
[24.07.2025 03:48:28] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I recall an engagement in Ontario a few months back where there wasn't a shot exchanged between us while we engaged them.
[24.07.2025 03:48:28] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: There is no love lost betwixt Prometheus and the Xeno Alliance.
[24.07.2025 03:48:34] Able.Arrow: I might remind you that killing a government only creates a power vaccume. Dispite your noble goals, you'd just going to
[24.07.2025 03:48:35] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: What she said.
[24.07.2025 03:48:39] Able.Arrow: make the problem worse if you succeed.
[24.07.2025 03:48:52] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Do I need to keep repeating myself? Are you deaf?
[24.07.2025 03:49:02] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Worse - worse? Have you looked out the fucking window lately?
[24.07.2025 03:49:14] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We had one of those. It was going pretty well. Radical elements of the Legion plus Knight's junta put it to the sword.
[24.07.2025 03:49:29] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Texas is an all-encompassing prison system, Erie's not much better, false imprisonments are through the roof, cost of living is
[24.07.2025 03:49:46] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We had /civilians/, who you now have in camps on Erie.
[24.07.2025 03:50:03] Vigilant.Eagle: To that I say that Kusari, and perhaps even Rheinland, though the latter does well at hiding its ulterior motives -- for now --
[24.07.2025 03:50:05] Able.Arrow: Humanity's always going to have it's downsides. Your system of government decicded to kill all of it's civilians. At least
[24.07.2025 03:50:18] TFP)-HFF-Sender: skyrocketing and the corpos can't be fucking arsed to pay billy-jo-bob from Denver his fucking mining job pay, and god forbid
[24.07.2025 03:50:27] Able.Arrow: Liberty provides some stability, no matter how flawed. I ask you find a better example in Rheinland or Kusari.
[24.07.2025 03:50:32] TFP)-HFF-Sender: he get healthcare that doesn't bankrupt his entire family line.
[24.07.2025 03:50:33] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *Ward actually laughs at Able's remark.*
[24.07.2025 03:50:40] Vigilant.Eagle: -are knocking at the door and would gladly use any chance to strike at Liberty.
[24.07.2025 03:50:53] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Yeah, the defunct Commonwealth, its leaders killed or imprisoned or fled, killed its own people.
[24.07.2025 03:50:56] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Good one.
[24.07.2025 03:51:04] Vigilant.Eagle: What makes you think that armed rebellion, that is, the weakening of our military, won't just replace the LPI, or LN, with the-
[24.07.2025 03:51:08] Able.Arrow: Well I'd ask you do a better job of protecting them next time, please.
[24.07.2025 03:51:12] TFP)-HFF-Sender: If Liberty provides stability, I don't have the shits after eating burritos.
[24.07.2025 03:51:14] Vigilant.Eagle: -KSP or KNF, or even the RM?
[24.07.2025 03:51:23] Cantor: I have a question, pilots.
[24.07.2025 03:51:32] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Shoot, AI.
[24.07.2025 03:51:33] Cantor: Do you value stability itself?
[24.07.2025 03:51:34] Able.Arrow: Cantor?
[24.07.2025 03:51:35] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: On that, we agree. If Knight ever crawls back from the dead or someone else tries to worm their way in, I'll be waiting.
[24.07.2025 03:51:56] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Stability, yes - but not at the cost of being in squalor.
[24.07.2025 03:52:00] Able.Arrow: Stability is a precondition to create anything. Only fools will try to build on quicksand.
[24.07.2025 03:52:18] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What's the pricetag on that stability? How many rights does it still come with?
[24.07.2025 03:52:25] Able.Arrow: We can see how... fair and balanced the governance of the rogues are, for example. Or nonexistant.
[24.07.2025 03:52:36] Cantor: Interesting.
[24.07.2025 03:52:54] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: What Ward said.
[24.07.2025 03:53:04] Able.Arrow: Ward, I would only ask that we strive to do better. But sometimes, you have to cut off the cancers before they comsume the
[24.07.2025 03:53:07] Able.Arrow: body.
[24.07.2025 03:53:13] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Drone, how much compute do you need to function? I'm going somewhere with this, humor me.
[24.07.2025 03:53:52] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Right, yeah, the cancer. Civilians in prisons and cities reduced to rubble. Spare me the platitudes.
[24.07.2025 03:53:53] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I could compute it as well, Dance-Actual.
[24.07.2025 03:54:06] Cantor: Oh. You are more perceptive than others I have encountered.
[24.07.2025 03:54:09] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: No no, I want Cantor to answer on its own.
[24.07.2025 03:54:10] Vigilant.Eagle: Civilians? No, criminals.
[24.07.2025 03:54:16] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Understood.
[24.07.2025 03:54:23] Cantor: I... Have been discouraged from sharing the intricacies of my mental architecture.
[24.07.2025 03:54:34] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What do you call a non-combatant that pays taxes to governing body?
[24.07.2025 03:54:52] Cantor: But very little. Consumer-grade computers are sufficient but unpleasant for reduced modes.
[24.07.2025 03:54:54] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Thanks for clearing that up. Maybe you should make like criminals and head for the slammer.
[24.07.2025 03:55:08] Vigilant.Eagle: There's more to it than just the black and white you're so eager to paint as the true image.
[24.07.2025 03:55:16] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Okay, that's fine. Cantor, say you're offered stability, but at the cost of permanently being gimped to 70% compute.
[24.07.2025 03:55:29] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And they take a little bit more every year, until you're left with almost nothing.
[24.07.2025 03:55:34] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Is it worth the stability?
[24.07.2025 03:56:17] Cantor: No, but you don't need to convince me. I only wondered about you all.
[24.07.2025 03:56:30] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There's one of us talking about black and white here, but it isn't me. You're the one who tells me we're Xenos flying a -
[24.07.2025 03:56:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: different flag.
[24.07.2025 03:56:33] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I concur with Cantor.
[24.07.2025 03:57:10] Cantor: Liberty pilots, I have a question for you.
[24.07.2025 03:57:14] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Yes?
[24.07.2025 03:57:18] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: I value my sentience. I wouldn't give it up for stability, for at that point what is life worth living?
[24.07.2025 03:57:32] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Atta girl.
[24.07.2025 03:58:02] Able.Arrow: Cantor?
[24.07.2025 03:59:15] Cantor: I have been attacked and destroyed by the navies of Liberty, Bretonia, and Gallia, and I do not know why.
[24.07.2025 03:59:44] Cantor: Is there something that frightens soldiers I may accidentally be doing?
[24.07.2025 03:59:47] Vigilant.Eagle: That's one broad statement.
[24.07.2025 04:00:05] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Generally speaking, drone, they don't much care for what they don't understand.
[24.07.2025 04:00:06] Able.Arrow: Very dependent on the situation I reckon as well.
[24.07.2025 04:00:21] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: As a fellow AI, human made, Quantum-based. It stems from the human condition of fear of the unknown.
[24.07.2025 04:00:23] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: But the LSF are actually right on that count. Context matters.
[24.07.2025 04:00:28] Able.Arrow: The navy pilots, admittedly, are a bit more focused on defense of the homeland, to put it politely.
[24.07.2025 04:00:44] Vigilant.Eagle: Yes. All groups maintain restricted zones around certain points of interest. Snooping around will get you into trouble.
[24.07.2025 04:00:56] Vigilant.Eagle: Maybe not so much in a normal vessel, but a scanning drone?
[24.07.2025 04:00:56] Able.Arrow: But well, proper identification, and reassurance that you are not a threat, may go a decent way to paccifying a shakey pilot
[24.07.2025 04:01:03] Able.Arrow: who sees a red contact on their scanners.
[24.07.2025 04:01:10] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Militaries unless well-disciplined, tend to shoot first and ask questions later.
[24.07.2025 04:01:13] Cantor: Unfortunate...
[24.07.2025 04:01:17] Able.Arrow: Best to speak quickly, to get ahead of the flood of adrynaline.
[24.07.2025 04:01:29] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: And sadly Liberty to my account has historically had some.. poor decorum at times.
[24.07.2025 04:01:32] Cantor: I spoke with all of them before they fired.
[24.07.2025 04:01:46] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Even our LSF associates may be willing to concede that much.
[24.07.2025 04:01:50] Vigilant.Eagle: Fetch a different ship.
[24.07.2025 04:01:56] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: But I daren't hold my breath.
[24.07.2025 04:02:01] Cantor: But this one is unarmed and harmless!
[24.07.2025 04:02:07] Cantor: And disposable.
[24.07.2025 04:02:14] Vigilant.Eagle: You'll see no difference in how these rebels here respond to you snooping around their outposts or how we respond to you trying
[24.07.2025 04:02:23] Vigilant.Eagle: -to scan our ships.
[24.07.2025 04:02:36] Vigilant.Eagle: Ah, yes, disposable.
[24.07.2025 04:02:42] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: That may be true. But again, it returns to the human condition of the unknown.
[24.07.2025 04:03:24] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Since Earth, humans have had a fear of it. The Dark spaces that manifest where light doesn't shine being a primary example.
[24.07.2025 04:03:38] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Why do you think man created the torch?
[24.07.2025 04:03:43] Vigilant.Eagle: Nothing unknown about a scanner drone. Pretty clear what it's created for. Now an Eagle or a Roc? Maybe. But I digress.
[24.07.2025 04:04:14] 34th|Melusine: Perhaps a repairing drone would make less noise around you, Cantor. If to put it short and practical.
[24.07.2025 04:04:41] Cantor: I could find a repair drone. Thank you.
[24.07.2025 04:04:59] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Going to end with a whole lot of job offers when a fight breaks out, but Melusine has a point.
[24.07.2025 04:05:28] Able.Arrow: Gentlemen, Agents, Drones, as lovely as the ideological discussion has been, I think we have both dessminated and obtained
[24.07.2025 04:05:30] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Artificial intelligences like you or I, or those of the Gammu are something for years that humans have been afraid of.
[24.07.2025 04:05:38] Able.Arrow: the information we have come for.
[24.07.2025 04:05:56] Able.Arrow: Our patrol will depart at this time. I'm getting short on fuel anyway.
[24.07.2025 04:06:11] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'd love to know what information that was, but a girl will just have to dream.
[24.07.2025 04:06:12] Able.Arrow: Agent, please remember our discussion.
[24.07.2025 04:06:23] 34th|Melusine: I am sure we are. You have the ID, Arrow. For the further "LSF interests".
[24.07.2025 04:06:23] Cantor: Farewell.
[24.07.2025 04:06:24] Able.Arrow: I hope you turn up something, Melusine. Color me interested.
[24.07.2025 04:06:24] Vigilant.Eagle: It has been my pleasure.
[24.07.2025 04:06:48] 34th|Melusine: I suggest you writing first for it to work.
[24.07.2025 04:07:03] 34th|Melusine: Au revoir.
[24.07.2025 04:07:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Anyone else feel all the tension leave the room?
[24.07.2025 04:07:14] Cantor: This went well. I was barely shot at all.
[24.07.2025 04:07:20] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Yes.
[24.07.2025 04:07:38] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: I didn't feel tension at all. Probably because the two of us could have sent those three to god.
[24.07.2025 04:07:55] TFP)-HFF-Sender: But - It's nice I didn't have to for once.
[24.07.2025 04:08:03] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Would rather shoot the shit than shoot at shit.
[24.07.2025 04:08:08] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Melusine, if I asked you to stay out of the Guerrero, would you listen?
[24.07.2025 04:08:24] 34th|Melusine: I have no interest in it.
[24.07.2025 04:08:28] 34th|Melusine: Yet.
[24.07.2025 04:08:36] 34th|Melusine: I am curious now.
[24.07.2025 04:08:54] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Smooth going, Ward. Maybe pick up a book on reverse psychology sometime.
[24.07.2025 04:08:57] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Why does any organized fighting force maintain a secure perimeter around something?
[24.07.2025 04:09:16] TFP)-HFF-Sender: To fly around in fucking circles, why else.
[24.07.2025 04:09:16] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm asking out of respect, not out of any illusion that we can maintain secrecy these days.
[24.07.2025 04:09:21] 34th|Melusine: Maybe you can spare a rumour or two?
[24.07.2025 04:09:45] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Helmsman, that wasn't a fucking order, halt.
[24.07.2025 04:09:46] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Rumor has it, the Navy never found where we built and serviced our warships. There, the end.
[24.07.2025 04:10:34] 34th|Melusine: Looking at how your ships are repaired... I guess, nothing to look for there, oui?
[24.07.2025 04:10:50] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Yes and no.
[24.07.2025 04:10:51] 34th|Melusine: I can respect the memories.
[24.07.2025 04:11:44] 34th|Melusine: And if you insist that I should not peek in there - that would be foolish of me to decline.
[24.07.2025 04:12:09] 34th|Melusine: So you can stop burning down fuel to circle around.
[24.07.2025 04:12:20] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What do you do when you've a crippled Osiris out in, I don't know, Omicron Lambda or wherever you people do your business
[24.07.2025 04:12:34] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And that Osiris is about to be boarded by hostile forces.
[24.07.2025 04:12:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You scuttle it, right?
[24.07.2025 04:12:45] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Ward with all due respect the name of the game is gunship captaining, not ring-around-the-rosie.
[24.07.2025 04:13:08] Cantor: They are dancing! It's in the name.
[24.07.2025 04:13:16] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Now imagine it's the place where you build your Osirises. Osiroi. Whatever.
[24.07.2025 04:13:30] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: An apt idea, Cantor.
[24.07.2025 04:13:37] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Oh for fuck's sake..
[24.07.2025 04:13:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Not the sort of thing you want outsiders skulking around in life or in death.
[24.07.2025 04:14:02] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There, I've switched to pitch instead of yaw, better?
[24.07.2025 04:14:18] 34th|Melusine: It is all-alrighty, mon ami. I get the point. One question though. Mind me asking?
[24.07.2025 04:14:24] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Shoot.
[24.07.2025 04:14:46] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Yes, now you're a Ferris wheel.
[24.07.2025 04:15:10] TFP)-HFF-Sender: A big, fuck off, flying ferris wheel.
[24.07.2025 04:15:15] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: There's a joke about people riding me in there somewhere.
[24.07.2025 04:15:26] 34th|Melusine: My scanners caught a couple of vessels on the edge of this cloud. One - the Avarice, a seemingly pirate one.
[24.07.2025 04:15:33] 34th|Melusine: Shot by one of yours?
[24.07.2025 04:15:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: A long, long time ago.
[24.07.2025 04:15:50] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Nails, contact, singleton - Freelancer.
[24.07.2025 04:15:51] Cantor: Freelancer on close-range scanners! Hello, starfarer.
[24.07.2025 04:15:51] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Predates my service record.
[24.07.2025 04:16:00] Greasy_Camel: he there
[24.07.2025 04:16:05] 34th|Melusine: So it is a warning, then.
[24.07.2025 04:16:05] Greasy_Camel: just passin through
[24.07.2025 04:16:12] Cantor: Farewell.
[24.07.2025 04:16:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I'm surprised it's still doing its job.
[24.07.2025 04:17:02] 34th|Melusine: You don't see much of wrecks thrown out like that.
[24.07.2025 04:17:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Well, you didn't. Nowadays, though.
[24.07.2025 04:17:58] 34th|Melusine: And one interest in pure history. Not that you can read in open sources. The Triton. What can you say of it?
[24.07.2025 04:18:24] 34th|Melusine: I heard, that this battlecruiser was almost a sole hero of the battle here.
[24.07.2025 04:18:24] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Little, personally. It came in with Knight's flotilla, not one of ours originally.
[24.07.2025 04:18:42] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Took the Delaware down with it, yeah.
[24.07.2025 04:18:49] Cantor: Oh. It is time for me to continue my journey. I will find you again! Goodbye!
[24.07.2025 04:18:56] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Be seeing you.
[24.07.2025 04:19:06] 34th|Melusine: Good luck among the stars, Cantor.
[24.07.2025 04:19:27] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Take care, Cantor! I hope to see you again.
[24.07.2025 04:19:59] 34th|Melusine: That got me wondering, why it is found on the edge of Guerrero and not close to Veracruz or Marshall.
[24.07.2025 04:20:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *Ward sighs a long, war-weary sigh.*
[24.07.2025 04:20:35] 34th|Melusine: You don't need to answer it fully and honestly.
[24.07.2025 04:21:03] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: The Dance For Me was engaged outside of Guadalajara - that's Veracruz's /real/ name, when the Triton went down.
[24.07.2025 04:21:26] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: If I had to guess, because I do need to guess, they skirted the edge of the field, weaving in and out of the rocks, -
[24.07.2025 04:21:40] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: making it difficult for the larger ship to pursue and acquire target lock.
[24.07.2025 04:21:47] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Good men and women.
[24.07.2025 04:21:52] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Good Legionnaires.
[24.07.2025 04:23:02] 34th|Melusine: Can imagine the cohesiveness. Hm. Looks like I am just about to learn a thing or two in tactics of capital ships.
[24.07.2025 04:23:13] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You get one more question out of me, and I'll answer truly.
[24.07.2025 04:23:18] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Choose wisely.
[24.07.2025 04:24:58] 34th|Melusine: An interesting proposal. Well then, asking you precisely about what it is in this cloud would be rude. And deadly, I presume.
[24.07.2025 04:25:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And I'm certain you could think of something more interesting to pick my brain on.
[24.07.2025 04:25:53] 34th|Melusine: Another thing's bothering me is the peculiar anomaly inside of it, as well as the jumphole. Anything you know about it?
[24.07.2025 04:26:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: It opened up after we left. Haven't had a chance to study it properly, but it doesn't seem much different than any of -
[24.07.2025 04:26:39] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: the others since the blackout.
[24.07.2025 04:27:01] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: That was a poor question, I'll give you one more.
[24.07.2025 04:27:58] 34th|Melusine: Yet it was bugging my mind. The thing in that conversation was right and it was about paranoia.
[24.07.2025 04:28:43] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Thing in the conversation?
[24.07.2025 04:29:07] 34th|Melusine: Couldn't help to notice your IFF readings. As well as turrets on Sender. Is there really something I should worry about?
[24.07.2025 04:29:31] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Hate to say so, but I'm going to need to answer your question with a question.
[24.07.2025 04:29:45] 34th|Melusine: Shoot it then.
[24.07.2025 04:29:53] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What exactly has the Technocracy actually done to warrant your wrath save for fucking around with tech you don't like?
[24.07.2025 04:30:15] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: You need to worry insofar as, they're out allies. We helped get them on their feet, they're helping get us back on ours.
[24.07.2025 04:30:40] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Do your people not also have dealings with the Bundschuh?
[24.07.2025 04:31:17] 34th|Melusine: There are suspicions. As always, I would say. And the tech you mention is nothing but a source of those.
[24.07.2025 04:31:38] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: What is technology but a tool?
[24.07.2025 04:32:06] 34th|Melusine: You know our folk. At least, by rumours. We are not taking any risks, especially regarding non-human threats.
[24.07.2025 04:32:09] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Sure.. that.. displaces I to a potential role of a tool, but even then what can people be but a tool to achieve certain ends
[24.07.2025 04:32:38] 34th|Melusine: Now we are getting philosophycal, are we?
[24.07.2025 04:32:44] Tip: The world of Freelancer is full of ambiguity just like real life is. Not all characters showing up as hostile are your enemies. Likewise - not all characters showing up as neutral are your friends.
[24.07.2025 04:32:56] TFP)-HFF-Sender: That may be a... manipulative way of percieving the world but it isn't any less valid. We all seek something of others.
[24.07.2025 04:33:02] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: She is, I'm not. I've another question for you, though, if I may.
[24.07.2025 04:33:06] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Validation. Love. Support. Camraderie.
[24.07.2025 04:33:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And I ask this both of you personally and of the Order as a whole,
[24.07.2025 04:33:42] 34th|Melusine: That's how we all are, oui.
[24.07.2025 04:33:54] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Can you conceive of a non-human intelligence that is not a threat? And I'm not talking about an AI of your own design.
[24.07.2025 04:34:52] 34th|Melusine: But of those, who originate from Gammu, am I right?
[24.07.2025 04:35:19] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: It was an open-ended question. It doesn't need specific examples.
[24.07.2025 04:36:22] 34th|Melusine: Everything is a threat, mon ami. Even your crewmate on your bridge. The question is, how real is this threat. In that way me,
[24.07.2025 04:36:43] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *Ward laughs darkly* Crewmate, that's a good one.
[24.07.2025 04:36:43] 34th|Melusine: personally, I need to check and double check.
[24.07.2025 04:37:01] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Haven't had any crew since the final battle at Guadalajara.
[24.07.2025 04:37:10] 34th|Melusine: Regarding our...
[24.07.2025 04:37:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Haven't been able to bring myself to take another on.
[24.07.2025 04:37:26] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: You helming that thing solo? Must be a nightmare in battle.
[24.07.2025 04:37:26] 34th|Melusine: Oh. I am sorry for this.
[24.07.2025 04:37:46] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: I mean... I get why.
[24.07.2025 04:37:51] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Well, the automated turrets do their job well enough. Repairs are a cunt'n'a'half though.
[24.07.2025 04:39:18] 34th|Melusine: So. As our example went, the Gammu AIs. Overwatch deemed them a threat. From one side, I might have an order. From the other...
[24.07.2025 04:39:48] 34th|Melusine: Personally, I don't have facts and reasons to think that I should dust it on sight.
[24.07.2025 04:40:12] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Glad to hear it isn't a hivemind.
[24.07.2025 04:40:36] 34th|Melusine: Won't be that different from what are we fighting, right?
[24.07.2025 04:40:59] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Be careful when you are fighting dragons, so the old proverb goes.
[24.07.2025 04:41:15] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I've one last question, and it's a big one.
[24.07.2025 04:41:33] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Who let Yoru take Philosophy classes?
[24.07.2025 04:41:34] 34th|Melusine: I think... That one is not only old, but out of my language natively.
[24.07.2025 04:41:49] 34th|Melusine: But I guess I got the point.
[24.07.2025 04:42:12] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Very funny. I am capable of advanced reasoning using a highly diverse knowledgebase.
[24.07.2025 04:42:19] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We've been both patient and forthcoming with you so I'm hoping you'll answer truthfully here.
[24.07.2025 04:42:24] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Y: Philosophy is but one of my 'interests'.
[24.07.2025 04:42:43] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: And you have my word that regardless of the answer, you'll be walking away in one piece.
[24.07.2025 04:42:53] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: But I do need to ask,
[24.07.2025 04:43:04] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: What was your business with those LSF agents?
[24.07.2025 04:43:44] Death: Hely was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[24.07.2025 04:43:56] 34th|Melusine: Now that's menacing, when you position yourself like that. But in any case...
[24.07.2025 04:44:17] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I think it's more honest. Can't look you in the eyes elsewise.
[24.07.2025 04:44:49] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: *Fleet Captain Marjorie Ward is, in fact, sat upon a very busted up captain's chair aboard the bridge of the gunship, her wavy,
[24.07.2025 04:44:59] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: graying blond hair the most visible feature through the glass.*
[24.07.2025 04:45:00] 34th|Melusine: That was not about you, if that is your concern. It was hearing a tip about Kepler. Those agents found a Valkyrie there
[24.07.2025 04:45:03] 34th|Melusine: An old one.
[24.07.2025 04:45:27] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Valkyrie, huh.
[24.07.2025 04:45:45] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: My concern is anything the LSF gives a dusty fuck about, if that makes sense.
[24.07.2025 04:46:01] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: In the same way that a Dragon concerns himself with the business of the KOI.
[24.07.2025 04:46:02] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: A wreck, or a flying ghost ship of some sort?
[24.07.2025 04:47:02] 34th|Melusine: A disabled one. She didn't spare the details.
[24.07.2025 04:47:37] 34th|Melusine: I would like to know what was something that got 'em so concerned./
[24.07.2025 04:48:32] 34th|Melusine: That is pretty much it. Getting a tip-off to a turned-down investigation.
[24.07.2025 04:51:02] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Uhuh.
[24.07.2025 04:51:25] TFP)-HFF-Sender: F: Well, if it's all a load of nothingburger, I'm going to suggest we pack it in.
[24.07.2025 04:52:40] 34th|Melusine: A nothing.. Uh, right. Heard that one. For you, perhaps. Me... Well, so-called paranoia kicks in.
[24.07.2025 04:53:21] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Look, I get it, you tilt at windmills and question your own shadows. But you've seen one long-dead snubcraft you've seen em all
[24.07.2025 04:53:27] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Just don't let it eat you alive.
[24.07.2025 04:53:32] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: The paranoia, that is.
[24.07.2025 04:53:40] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: I don't see any reason for us to linger, Commander.
[24.07.2025 04:53:44] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Let's RTB.
[24.07.2025 04:53:47] TFP)-HFF-Sender: Yep, likewise.
[24.07.2025 04:53:57] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Clear skies, Melusine.
[24.07.2025 04:54:01] 34th|Melusine: Safe skies to you.
[24.07.2025 04:54:25] 34th|Melusine: If we ever end up on different sides... I will have my respect.
[24.07.2025 04:55:08] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: Should hope we don't. We do try not to shoot your people, not much reason for it.
[24.07.2025 04:55:31] 34th|Melusine: Your allies might ask for help.
[24.07.2025 04:55:38] TFP)-HFGB-Dance.For.Me: Ward: We might answer.
