Important Base Information

During a carefully planned exploration mission in the Uncharted System, we encountered an unusual and unknown anomaly that catapulted us into a distant and unexplored sector.
We do not know whether this maybe is a new type of unstable wormhole, but we suspect it is.
Once we realised our situation, we did everything we could to get back to our home sector of Sirius. We estimated and calculated a travel time of several months to get back home.
However, even taking the direct route proved to be too optimistic, as obstacles such as toxic, impassable fog forced us to take longer detours. Unfortunately, we also lost more than half of our crew on the journey home.
Now, after years of gruelling travel, we are finally back and are horrified to discover that our beloved home base, Omega Palace, no longer exists. The hope of seeing our beloved home again gave us the strength and motivation we needed during the long journey. And now...

No more base, no place of refuge, our research and all the knowledge and skills we had acquired up to that point lost. But the worst thing about it is not knowing what happened to our base during our absence. Was it abandoned after several years of no news about our whereabouts and then destroyed by the harsh environmental influences in our system? Or was it deliberately destroyed, and if so, by whom? What happened to the crew left behind? Unfortunately, no one we have asked has been able to provide us with any information. We are now preoccupied with questions upon questions and would be more than grateful for any clues.

In order to motivate ourselves as the remaining group, to strengthen our cohesion and to honour our crew who lost their lives on the long journey home, we have decided to rebuild Omega Palace in accordance with the current rules in the system. We plan to rebuild the base in the immediate vicinity of Freeport 1, taking into account the new safety distance rules currently in force in the system.
