ERR02-18 |
[FATAL ERROR]

The hold of CS' Valkyrie was a frequently visited place, the steel shell of a vessel allowed him to safely traverse the wonders of the Void with ease to search for places to meditate. With ship systems powered down and very little to give his position away within an asteroid field, he could bring trust that his environment would shield him from troublesome seekers again. 'Radar signatures' were the least of his worries within the lethally calm waters and in turn it brought a need to conceal ones mental presence from the Vagrants who didn't like intrusions from uninvited parties; Or even disturbances from invited ones. CS with some measure could at least remain within Tau-61's less sensitive regions, yet outside of the Vagrant's hot-spots to stay away from the opportunists that may ignorantly try to conquer a Ghost for themselves.

Tau-61 was much more peaceful to him than what his own home of Thuringia currently provided. It was a rare treat, no wounds of the Void to screech here and the pilfering of the system by corporate's was non existent. In it's replacement there was a harmonious song within this expanse, the solar winds felt like strings being caressed and it's tune reverberating from head to toe... CS took full advantage of this, meditation first begins without gravity, but with one seated and legs crossed at the floor... Defensive, dormant, designed.

But the point he was at now would be a diversion from the usual rigidity of the Damnatio Memoriae. He was floating aloft, limbs lose within the zero gravity that allowed him to remain at true peace... One where the feeling of connection with the Void allowed such an isolated soul to open up, to think freely within his mind and to process his actions and knowledge within the mental workshop of the rule-maker. He assess his fanaticism to ensure it aligns with the greater good of the Void, if it truly opens a window into true synergy with their 'stellar vessel'... The decisions between species, the motives of emerging technologies, the inclusion of new 'orchestra' within Sirius' great symphony, the daisy chain of consequences of a recent executive assassinations.

The song was a quiet moment of pleasure during his perpetual service to the Void, the one chance of harmony when he can place his body and mind with trust towards his tutor, listening to personification to the Universe, the vessel of life to all. Ever so gently he could feel the reverberation of the solar winds flowing against the hull of his ship, even his suit showed his heart rate had slowed and his psionic scars were active yet not inflicting pain... He knew this wasn't a hostile song, nor one from the Nomads; He would know if they even whispered a growl in search of him.

At least an hour had passed with his silence, there wasn't even a question being asked within his mind anymore, 'sleeping good' seemed to take place but he hadn't let himself fall fully unconscious. But something was off putting, there was still and underlying tone of nervousness that he had felt from the hive nearby, this came with an arrival of a familiar invited-guest he spoke to earlier. What his mind could translate in feeling was it wasn't the ongoing caution that an undesired would enter the region, but more of a silent stoic worry about one's own kin... But this gentle feeling was to be heeded as truth as the feeling began to escalate in intensity.

Suddenly his eyes opened, he turned himself in the direction of where he heard it originate. Both in feeling and shock, he could even hear the panic of other souls as they all yelled in a cry similar to the psinoic wave that pulsed through the system, like watching a fuse run along the ground towards you, CS was not prepared at all...

The mercy cries, the pain of being ripped out of your own mind, leaving something of yourself behind in the fire... The constant screaming twisted, long passed him but what it awoke was still lingering.

{A brief, psionic scream echoed outwards, ripping through the seas and crashing against all who felt it. The scream abated
--almost as soon as it came, and yet, the lingering pain remained, a massive hole where the massive presence of the Elder--
--once was. The comfort that this was all intended and planned was the only salve upon the ripped souls of the listening.}
...(the sound of a woman screaming in surprise)...~agony~ 'lost'...~confusion~ 'why'...

When CS came around, he was picking himself out of a green steel ditch, seeing sparks and projectiles fly over his head and five to ten bodies floating within the dark sky above with more soon to join them. He raised that rifle and begin to pick the targets his helmet had highlighted, the first three were clutching another helmeted individual who had already succumbed to their hands, he knew that the mind was gone at this point. CS was content in letting that hammer fly and sending those three opponents to join the deceased. His suit thrusters kept his recoil within control in this zero-gravity hell zone as he ensured that their heads were no longer attached to their necks, a splattering of blue and red blood over the kneeling victim... CS looked at him, how could anyone help someone out here that had fallen that far, it wasn't a question of trying, it was a question of knowing how. "Compromised... Burn me..." Was the only word muttered from the kneeling soldier. "Affirmative."

CS turned that rifle to him, that finger didn't hesitate to send one of those spiker rounds down the top of the broken trooper. He took the pinned dog tags off the flight suit of the 'burned' trooper, to ensure memory of what he could see can be recalled with what essence remained of that troopers humanity. Stashing that first before salvaging what little ammo and gear he could, all while also laying down fire with his side arm as his co-combat processors assisted him.

But as CS started to move towards the retreat route to looked up at the rest of the Camp Haus, all he could see was the same thing happening over... and over. The blockade of infected forces denied them to carry out the order to retreat, even as it continued to be repeated on their radios, behest to escape the Salzungenebel or be left behind. Over achieving and over extending the company of scattered troopers felt like a grave mistake to CS now, convincing them traverse the imperial graveyard on foot in Zero-G with the objective as their motivational oath, yet command was cutting them short on having enough time to save their lives to fight another day. "Why did I bring them here?" His mind asked, whatever realization that the remaining humanity in him watched what he caused by listening those hunting instincts of a curious mirror... The moments he faced there up close and personal previously was of simple routine, constantly repeating a tunnel visioned cycle when came to ending his brethren when dealing with smaller ambushes... But to see it become everything around him in this mass raid on the surviviors?

They called a general retreat, the assault was broken.
Pull the damn trigger, send more to their god.
Camp Haus wasn't safe anymore, staying here means death.
Their power lies below and I need to wield it too, for the sake of our combined future.
They scream hate unlike their wielders, they abandon cause to embrace Armageddon.
To retreat through their executioners is pathetic, save your fight and seek the 'freeminds' of this branch.

You must follow the rules of this temporal period, the events are set.

"Ghosts, retreat is not statistically possible,
Slay and burn, do not restrain yourself
We carve deeper, destroy their operation
Do so until your shell crumbles
As they will do the same."
