Red Hessians are revolutionaries only on paper and only to attract more manpower; they are not the portrayed heroes of the oppressed worker, but pillagers and plunderers in the name of personal gain.
That the numbers were a little lopsided is, I think, something to be ironed out later, but I nevertheless believe it relevant to understand what a true Hessian should look like (obviously, there can be differences from character to character).
I cannot disagree with this point of view and I'll add that the piratical and marauding nature of the Hessians designates them as an unorganized group. This means that there may be ideological cells, but against the background of the general movement, this is not so noticeable. And each group has every right to position itself as it wishes.
