Bonjour, messieurs Reavers,

Words about your deeds go in length and far, and it reached the Union as well, my ears included. It goes that you never back down a contract, regardless of who stands in your way, and provide sublime results. Coincidentally, the Navy founds itself in need of such services.

It might not be your consecrated modus operandi, but I trust your capability to adapt. Unfortunate events in the form of misalignment of the heavens have cut the Union as a whole from one of its lifebloods, Copper. A detour is indeed available through hostile space, but despite our undwindling courage, our promethene tanks are not enough for a round tour. Expanding them is indeed a solution, but ineffective cost wise due to larger consumption. The only way to actually make the run efficient is to load on our transports oak barrels filled with our gracious wine, and let it age during the trip. Oui, the detour takes that much time, that by the time we're back, le wine is already vintage. Sounds delightful, but now we can't just refit part of our transports with wine cellars. Or, can we? Something to consider.

While we're addressing the issue, the flow of Copper can't stop. So, messieurs Reavers, you are hereby offered the following contract, to supply our Navy with 30,000 metric tons of Copper monthly, until our scientists find a solution around the current issues, or the heavens are no longer unstable.

I understand the contract isn't even close to being your cup of tea, nevertheless I'm looking forward for a favorable reply, taking into account your reputation.
