The Core is a private military company operating mainly within the Edge Worlds. They relentlessly search for Alien Artifacts and technology that can be exploited and sold to wealthy and powerful benefactors in the Houses.
This Independent Corporate ID is used by Core pilots, who:
- Can attack any ship to protect allies.
- Can attack Alien, Order, and Technocracy ships, and ships carrying Alien, Order, or Technocracy materials.
- Cannot use any ship with more than 4,300 cargo.
Within Zone of Influence (Omicrons and bordering systems, Omegas):
- Can attack ships considered hostile by The Core.
- Can enforce Core laws within the Omicrons.
Mining Bonuses: Azurite Gas (3x), Iridium Ore (3x), Xeno Relics (3x)

The intent of the ID revision is to restrict the use of Core Cruisers, Battlecruisers, and Battleships to within ZOI for all engagement lines. All ID's are still capable of supporting allies per common server rules

    Attack Alien IDs, except while flying Cruisers, Battlecruiser, or Battleships.
    Attack any ship to defend Allies, except while flying Cruisers, Battlecruisers, or Battleships.

    Within their ZOI:
    Attack any ship to defend Allies.

    Within Uncharted Systems:
    Act as if the system were in their Zone of Influence.
    Demand Cerulite Crystals, Chirodebris, Cryo-Organisms, and Organic Capacitors from non-Allies.
