Fleet Engagement 27.09.835 A.S. [Accessible to BAF command]
"This is Lady E. Cromwell submitting a fleet engagement report for a battle with the Gallians in Roussillon. Eighteen point oh nine point eight three five. Please do forgive the crackly transmission you're surely receiving. The Chatham's comms array, as well as her two main engines, are more than worse for wear after the handiwork of a handful of Gallian snub aces."

"A section of the fleet mustered a smidgen sector northwards of Planet Toulouse. It was heartwarming to see our steadfast allies in the Crayterian Republic also join the affair. Word had reached the boffins at BIS a concentration of Gallian Naval forces was congregating in the system, and those boffins did not disappoint. At approximately nineteen hundred hours a GN battlegroup was sighted and engaged without delay. Keen as everyone was to throw a few hands and settle the matter decisively!"

"Alas, damaged sustained meant our visual-audio sensors malfunctions during the bout. Perhaps other captains and pilots will aid in corroborating my report. However, I shall regail events to you as best as one can. As the two sections came witin range to deliver their opening salvos, initial momentum had several vessels of both sides out of position. Those opening trades had the Bretonian allied forces at a disadvantage, but with raised chins and stiffened upper lips the folks pushed through in earnest. It was a slow grind, with patient play on both sides, that took over an hour twenty by my mark to come to a conclusion. Through steely resolve, solid teamwork, and the stamina of our pilots and gunnery crews, Her Majesty's realm came to claim victory. I wish to commend everyone present at the engagement, for surely their valiant efforts have paid off, and it is an honour to serve beside them."

"Not that I would say it to their faces, but the Gallian Forces clearly haven't lost their edge despite the relative turmoil of governance. I'm sure you folks at command know this but it certainly left an impression. I'd wager no one left that field of battle without a scar or three."
