I am sorry if you had bad experience with TBH, however, I never saw anyone combat docking mid-battle. I double checked the chat logs and there is no sign of anyone doing it. The only docking that happened in range was on ships with docking modules, which is not pvp death. If you think someone broke the rules, you can report it.
Some of us did switch ships because fighters are barely any good against caps, hell I tried to make it work with Titan for quite some time, but it was utterly useless, so I switched to a bomber. I know the other bomber did restock ammo on a carrier. Bomber torpedoes are balanced with limited ammo, basically forcing a bomber to do it when it runs out, otherwise, one is just penalizing themselves without a working anticap weapon. Unfortunately, this isn't like 4.86 when you could still rely on your SNAC.
Don't think that I don't understand your pov. Some battles can be frustrating and that sucks. Sometimes it's easy to control the flow, sometimes it's not. I do not think this could've worked without switching ship classes. We had more snubs than Outcast side, while Outcasts had more caps, rendering the snubs (fighters specifically) useless after only caps were left. Even with that, the remaining 3 OC destroyers fought hard and managed to win. Well played by them.
As for keeping fights fair, I am very fond of doing it and don't find fun in easy wins. I prefer and can promise to keep things fun and balanced, but that's not always possible, especially in large battles, when it's extremely difficult to keep track of everything that's going on. I will happily have a conversation if you have any other questions or feedback.
