SPHACELUS PROJECT REPORT 6

Day thirty-nine. The two of them have formed a sort of religion, with myself at the center. I've mostly translated their strange language, it's a speech divided into three portions: voice, overtone, and subharmonic. Three notes to make one song, a very suboptimal usage of human vocal chords, but nonetheless impressive, and notably difficult to translate. Their religion is highly masochistic, and centered around my experiments, which serves well for creating warriors, I suppose.

They have a strong aversion to clothing and armor, as I don't put clothing on this armored body of mine. I suppose lacking armor will not be a problem for them, given their regeneration, but I believe a pair of naked women with stone-like implants would be too noticeable for infiltration work. Perhaps I should fuse some form of leotard or catsuit to their bodies.

Being able to communicate with them has been enlightening. There's no physical way to notate the names they have for themselves, but they seem to be recreations of the phrases "Subject One" and "Subject Two", so I believe that will be considered their names, going forward.

SPHACELUS PROJECT REPORT 7

Day fourty-two. I caught a prize while intervening with Voidmind activities in the Independent Worlds. This particular one was an Infiltrator, well-prepared to destroy itself should any probing of it's mind happen. It probably thought me foolish, letting it see myself and my project room when I brought it out of stasis. I certainly thought it foolish for not destroying itself when it had the chance. Nonetheless, I threw my little prisoner to the test subjects.

It was interesting, watching them attack. Being an Infiltrator, the first thing it attempted was enthralling the two, mistaking them for average humans. Watching it recoil from the caress of The Deep was comical, a sort of corruption that a mind like the Void or the Light would have to carefully temper itself to be able to resist. My test subjects, however, were not as prone to observing as I was. Their bite carried my ichor, not as a regenerative, but as an infection. It quickly paralyzed both the body and the mind, and started converting the flesh of both Man and Incubus to my ichor for the subjects to absorb.

What a torturous moment that must have been, to be both paralyzed and rotting at the same time. The subjects came to me, looking for reward, as if I had time to play pretend with relationships. This is where their masochism becomes useful, though, as I can merely pierce and lacerate their torsos to check for the echo of the Voidmind in their ichor, satisfying my inquiry, and satisfying their desire. There was no such echo. As I had predicted, all things drown in The Deep.

SPHACELUS PROJECT REPORT 8

Day fifty-seven. They're starting to remind me of dogs. Dogs that are delighted to be beaten for misbehaving. As my experiments on their capabilities and responses continued, I've noticed that they have preference for their wounds. Subject One prefers impalement and severe laceration around the lower abdomen and pelvis, and Subject Two prefers a new discovery of mine, namely that I can significantly slow the regeneration of lost limbs by placing restrictive caps on the ends of the stumps. I suppose being easy to please will help keep them from deviation.

Likewise, while testing cognitive responses, I learned of a relatively common training method for actors, to help them "get into character". It's called "dropping in", and I've discovered that I can use this to illicit desirable emotional responses, allowing me to program their personalities, to some extent.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

"Whatever happened to catchin' a good old-fashioned passionate ass-whoopin and gettin' your shoes, coat, and your hat tooken?"
