Almost all alien players demand "RP or die". Just stop and chat and interact, which is something most traders absolutely refuse to do. Here's an example of how YOUR powertrading could be going.

No, your regular nomad player doesn't instakill transports with no demands because funny haha. Generally, we kill transports that refuse to roleplay and silently cruise, or that silently engage us.
However, more than a year ago, I'd like to say it was around March of 2024, I did have an enlightening conversation with an indie nomad cruiser. I'm greatly paraphrasing here because it would take more hours digging through DSAce than I already put in and I only vaguely remember it, but the short version is that he was a silent powertrader who got killed for silently running, and took it upon himself to instakill traders without demands so as to "force admins to fix the shitty alien IDs so they can't troll honest workers anymore".
And Nomads aren't even pirates, which is what this thread is supposed to be about. Honestly, we can just kill you straight up, no fluff and no extra stuff. We actively choose not to, and instead just demand some roleplay interactions. The problem with piracy these days really isn't that pirates are evil which makes powertraders forced to avoid and be shitty to them all the time. The problem with piracy is that powertraders don't roleplay and have no character standards, and demonize pirates (and nomads, and police) because anything that costs them money, or even time, is subhuman in their eyes.
I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.
