Subject: Report - 16/10/835 | AAR Lane Hackers in California
Ensign Jackson reporting.
Good evening command,
I would like to report the events of my patrol in California and Cortez on the evening of 15/10/835. While California was uneventful at the start of my patrol, my jump into Cortez landed me in front of DSE vessel [DSE]-Dover, and two Lane Hacker ships );--Keygen, and );--Deedoss. Thought I arrived too late to stop the credit piracy, thankfully the DSE vessel was let go unharmed, and made the jump into California. Considering I was outnumbered and outgunned by the snub fighter and the Longhorn, I judged it was futile to engage them. After some convincing, they willingly left the area.
After confirming the path was clear, I returned to California to escort the DSE vessel in the event more pirates showing up. His destination took him to New London, so I parted ways at Planet Curacao. Despite his vessel being pirated, he didn't seem to bothered by it. According to the captain, it seems like it's covered, so I didn't pursue the incident further.
I was on my way to return to New York, when I find the same two Lane Hacker ships from before disrupting the trade lane between Planet Los Angeles, and Planet Mojave. I once again attempted to send them away before more victims appeared. Another Lane Hacker vessel [Callback.Ping] appeared, but a local Police Officer Henry.Colt came to reinforce. We were still at a disadvantage, but the Lane Hackers dispersed without incident after what felt like hours.
While conversing with these ladies, I managed to uncover the identity of their.. group? Circle? They seem to be part of "Lovelace". I don't know if we have any files on these people yet, but it seems they were mostly hidden until recently. I recommend we keep an eye on these folks. );--Deedoss claims to have shot down the Admiral? Probably should have questioned her more.
Oh yes. I managed to recover a civilian pilot from the Hacker Longhorn. Surprisingly, she willingly gave them up without any ransom or issue. I've left said pilot to the police on Planet Manhattan. I then returned to Norfolk to conclude my patrol.
