Ask is free and considerate

We used to arrange many fleet fights with players and had hours of fun

Without any one getting pissed off

but to hunt barges and base supplies ships when people with real jobs and lives have limited time to play
its just considered good manners and common courtesy not to grief them.

We and many like minded never bother groups on missions and Battlezones or chase down
transports cause we chicken to fight anything that dont have proper guns

The big idea on this server is not to be a dick towards the player next to u
if u gonna be a dick welcome to empty space cause thats all u gonna find

All those people who go against you in PvP are often the ones who log in at random moments, upon seeing enemies on the scanner, to help their teammates or defend their faction's influence in the system. It's not because they have a huge amount of time (after all, you have limited time, no doubt about it), but because they don't use the same approach you do.

Any faction will log in under any circumstances, without trying to dig themselves into deeper holes, inventing explanations for their actions that border on the surreal.

Situation 1: My friends and I flew to Mu with only three snubs, and right before our eyes, two Osiris were farming a PvE mission. These were ships from your faction, and we planned to interact specifically with your faction.

No one attacked you; you were given time to escape and even relog other characters. The other people in the group were perfectly aware that there were people on the other side of the monitor, and so they would all wait for you to find more people or fight whatever was there. They wouldn't interfere in the fight if it weren't fair. What did you do? You left the game.

Situation 2: This situation is precisely why I'm writing here. Four Nomads in Mu, a player from the 34th logs in and goes to help you, who are in the same system. Because it wasn't known what the Nomads had in terms of fleet composition (two gunboats, an Anzu, and a cruiser, if you're wondering). What did you do? There were three of you, and you simply decided to quit the game. There was only one E\V/ cruiser left, which was helplessly fighting with two gunboats (because 34th|Blackjack had died).

So, you're unable to help not only yourself but also other players. Even those from your own faction. If you're being hampered that much, I repeat, create your own server and play there. Or, damn it, learn to understand that you're in an online game, and anything is possible. And Discovery requires interaction of any kind; otherwise, there's no point in playing a game where everything is agreed upon, instead of organic and random encounters.

Trying to avoid interaction while offering feedback, faction itself and inviting people to join your ranks is an even more damaging policy than if you were a random group of indie players. In other words, you're literally leading an entire group of players to act the same way you do.

Why am I leaving such feedbacks? Because three people are already writing about this, not just one. And worst part is they're all of same faction. I'm afraid to imagine how many more people are like this, who literally quit the game when they see problems, without trying to somehow deal with them. And it's doubly scary that each of these people positions themselves as someone busy with their personal lives and limited time (oh yeah). No, a person with a busy personal life either doesn't play at all or reacts appropriately. A person with a busy personal life, or anyone who's at all involved in reality, wouldn't behave like this. Because real life is a set of the same random situations with which a person interacts.

Half (if not all) of this server has long since found jobs, built careers, and is simply settling into their personal lives. And none of them, literally none except you, reacts so capriciously to a simple request: play the game when others are playing, even if they're red on your radar.

Discovery is a server of dreams.
And I'm a big dreamer.
