BMF and Staff

I don't want to respond directly in the thread as I'm not affiliated with staff or BMF at this time. This is in response to my reading of the rules violation thread: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2380964

I'm seeing emotions rising on both sides and as we all know when we are calm minded, emotion often gets in the way of logic and reasoning.

BMF: As somebody that was on the other side, from what I saw from chats and the like, staff tend to lean toward leniency. In fact, comments I made about rule breaks were sometimes viewed as too much or going too far. Staff is not out to get you unless it's talked about in private channels - I have seen no evidence that anybody is out to get you. However, you do allow your emotions to rule against better judgement. I am seeing this in the rules violation thread. Remember that this is only a warning - an action taken by the faction is deemed as pushing the line. Perhaps CDI and Zoners action were also pushing the line in the past - was it reported? Do they do this regularly? BMF has a history of pushing the line of roleplay which is a good. Blend the lines, find the grey areas, create niches. That is great storytelling! We are often victims of our own ambitions and at times go too far. This is the staff's way of telling you this.

Staff: BMF has been an active part of this community for many years. They have been feeling disenfranchised for some time - their patience has been admirable from their gripes and complaints that I have been witness to. They do often feel as if they are being targeted and shot at... granted, sometimes it's to themselves to their own foot - but they have had right reasons at times to feel cheated out of their work and dedication to this game. They have reached a breaking point with feeling their work is being wasted which is, in all honesty, a very real reason that some good RPers and players have left the community. Please don't let their emotions prematurely sway your decisions of disbanding this group short of an official disbandment request. Everybody has thrown that threat around at times.

I have never heard Xenon or Dylan Hunt as disgruntled and serious about leaving the community as I have over the past month and it sounds like they are already on the downswing of punching their ticket out of the community. It would be wise if members of staff and key members of BMF meet in Discord and lay it all out. Set an hour or 2 aside, LISTEN to both sides, and find a compromises. If you need a mediator to mute mic's or to help drive this conversation, I can be it.

TLDR: BMF are good players, staff is not out to get them, yall need a beer and a chat

I'm not wanting this thread to turn into a flame war so if a staff member sees this, please lock the thread. This is one of those examples that both sides feel the other is a boogey man and it can't be further from the truth - have a chat.
