I likely have far less to say than others due to my shorter tenure as staff (around 4 and a half months at current), however even I notice patterns of behaviour across a non-negligible period of time.

Responses like this are nothing new. It's happened in the official faction lounge in the main discord, it's happened in other discords when speaking to other staff, it happens in sanction threads. The list goes on.

Any pushback or "no" from us, no matter our argument, is met with this victim mindset that we give others what they want, but not BMF. This simply isn't true. If you notice patterns of behaviour from us toward certain factions or individuals, there is a reason for it. Either a request(s) is beyond the scope of the faction, they don't make sense, or they have done something wrong. You end up in sanction threads more if you are found to have violated the rules more. It's not complicated, or biased. We act on what we're given, or what we see. We act on the spirit of the rules too rather than just the letter, and so the end goal of what the rules are trying to achieve is important too. That is to say, we don't just come down on people for the slightest step over the line when it comes to RP and such. We want people to have that freedom, after all. If we say no, there's a reason for it.

We'll allow those concerned to have their say toward us as we always do (like in the staff feedback thread), but you can't be surprised if we have something to say about it. We are no less deserving of criticism than someone else and we certainly aren't perfect, but we do our best with the resources and personnel we have. Sometimes that's less, sometimes that's more. However it doesn't change outcomes such as a faction being warned (again) for rule-violating behaviour. I don't know how to put it in any simpler words.

There aren't any emotions running high here, only simple adherence to a factions wishes. Complaining that we're "too fast" is a strange one when we are only adhering to requests of this nature since there's no reason to decline it. As a recent example, Starfliers recently stepped down voluntarily from officialdom, and it was processed quickly. Kai's post in the sanction thread was a little quick on the draw, I do agree but he can speak for himself and it's hardly changing any outcomes or pushing people in a particular direction.

As a team, we harbour no hard feelings or wish to make any individual feel less welcome than another. It's simply a case of some putting themselves in the spotlight more often, and we are allowed to be fatigued by having the same melodramatic accusations thrown at us every time rather than a simple "my bad" or "i'm sorry" or "we'll do better". If you do genuinely believe we're wrong, then show us. This goes for anyone, obviously.

As mentioned though, no tangible sanction was actually given on this most recent occasion. It was a warning. Nothing more. BMF has been warned before and yet even still, we chose to warn you once more instead of anything more severe. Clearly we overall didn't weigh this particular breach heavily either. Hell, BMF even took it very well that time! Makes you wonder, eh?

If you're that unhappy, leave actual feedback in the relevant thread with evidence and we can look closer and see if we notice anything going amiss with how we handle discussion with you (BMF, Dylan etc.). Otherwise, please stop with this needless constant offence as it's not helping you, us or anyone else that has to read it.
