Subject: Re: Palace Class Requisition

Good Day, Mister Vascoguoncellos?

My name is Caitlyn Cross, and I am the Chairwoman of Orbital Spa and Cruise. You are indeed Right that we are operating a Couple of Ships of the Pallace Class. My very own Red Velvet Club is one of them. And as you might have heard, I am a big fan of this Ship class as well. The Pallace Class is Pretty Versatile and can be used for many things with only a Couple of Modifications. The Origin of the Palace as a Royal Ship makes her, even in her Lightly Downgraded Civilian Version, into a Very Robust and Versatile Craft. My own Red Velvet Club has been in service for Several Decades. If you keep these Beauties Maintained and upgrade them from time to time, then they are quite impressive Workhorses. Spare Parts are also Easy to acquire, as the Ship has many Parts in Common with other Bretonian vessels. And yes, the Basic Armor of the Ship is already impressive and can be even increased with Standard Aftermarket Armor Kits. I have chosen one of them for my own Ship, and I can tell you that the Armor has saved my Butt a Couple of times already when we operated in pirate-infested areas. Nonetheless, I would not Advice to Opperate a Palace Class in the Borderworlds without a Fighter Escort.

You mentioned that you tried to tow another vessel? The Engine output of the Palace allows such maneuvers with a little tweak on the Energy Throuput here and there. But as you mentioned, you already have an Oasis Liner, I would advise using both ships in Tandem if you want to Tow Heavier Ships. It reduces the Stress on the Engine and the Reactor and can extend the ship's Lifetime by a Considerable Margin. The Towing of Smaller or Similar Size Vessels Should Not Be a Problem. We also learned some Tricks over the years to make a bit of Extra Power out of the Reactor and Engines. If you want, we can make the necessary Modifications before we hand over the Ship. It should give you around 10 to 15% higher Engine Thrust when you really need it.

Now, a couple of Palace liners are mothballed, and the best Ship for you is called OS&C|Royal-Aquitania. The liner was for a while in Regular Service and is now in Storage. Her Frame and systems can be updated with relatively little work, and her interior was already Largely Removed by us, so that she is almost a blank sheet for your future modifications. The usual Costs for a new Palace Liner are around 2,370,000 Credits, but as the Royal-Aquitania is a used one and in Consideration of your Help with the Bulwark Class, we would like to offer the ship, including any Modifications from our side, for around 1.42 Million Credits. This would be a Cost Savings of over 40% in consideration of a brand new Liner.

We would also need to know how many Crew Members you intend to use for Daily operations? OS&C Skeleton Crews are around 20 to 30 people. So if you want to have a Medical Wing or other Search and Rescue gear, as well as Navigational Survey Equipment, then the Requirements for Crew Quarters will rise accordingly. Also, we should keep in consideration some Cabins for Guests or potential evacuations. If you tell us what you have in mind, then we can talk with the OS&C Interior Design Team and make a plan for those Modifications. While we don't own a Shipyard, we do most of the interior work on our ships with our specialized design and Build Teams.

Safe Skys,
Caitlyn Cross
