I quote Captain Everett from our previous conversation:

"All Junkers are entitled to a life of luxury."

Hmmm...the "Junkers" who need a union and the "Junkers" who don't? So what makes these so different?

Nothing.


Any Junker who cannot afford a ship and needs one will have one provided free of cost to him or her. The Junker Congress will buy a starflier for any Junker who cannot afford one -- no questions asked.

In addition, Junker Congress members will gladly help patrol and escort Junkers to safe working areas (which we are already doing) and provide them with training and information on trade routes, mining and salvage areas and the like. If they have a shortfall due to loss, we'll help them back on their feet.

Also, all Junkers already are made available free basing and housing to any who wish to work on Junker stations--no questions asked.

Bornholm provides opportunities for willing Junkers to learn ship salvage and construction--as does Vieques Shipyard in Puerto Rico. Culebra Smelter provids manufacturing training and Yanagi works in tandem with ALG, the premiere salvage company of Sirius.

Arecibo Station is also the home of the Junker Library of Congress which is an educational and training center where all the accumulated history and discovery of Junkers is made available. Information from there has allowed us to develop our own ship designs including the successful CSV.

Junkers pay no fees or taxes, are no subjected to any legislation and have no ruling authority that can command them to obey.

You'll forgive me if I am missing the point. Is there one?

What it sounds like is that as opportunities appear, some Junkers are seeing the success of others and going, "Hmmm...I want some of that--but I want them to give me theirs instead of getting my own."

This is Xeno thinking. "We'll just cause mayhem and strife until people give us everything we want!" Is your proposal to demand payments "or else?". Have you appointed yourself "leader of all disaffected" and are going to decide how much to demand and then collect it for everyone else? Where are all of these poor outraged Junkers? None have approached us and asked for help. If they have, we would have helped them.

To be fair, "Captain" Everret is the only Junker I have heard such selfish prattle from...though apparently Adjudicator Culebra has seemed to have been infected by the same delusion now.

If a group of Junkers wish to go sit in corners and pout and whine and throw dirt in their heads, that is their prerogative. Those who wish to follow them can. We will move forward--as all Junkers have always done--and make our own future.

The only thing these gentlemen are lacking is will. They are leaders without a cause hoping to snare "followers". I would chose personal freedom over slavery to the idea that, "I am a victim."

ANY Junker in lack--for themselves or their family--may come to the Congress and ask for help and it will be given. We are just one group of Junkers amongst us all--but we are Junkers first.

I pity those who lose that in the hope for a life with no personal effort or responsibility required of them.
