Been working more on CRANE, to my brain's detriment. It's like that old adage about insanity; Over and over, expecting something different, except I'm smarter than that, and I know eventually I'm gonna find something.
This time, I think I might be onto something.

Corrosion, naturally, is where I'm thinking most of his issues stem from. Between his copy performance on the safety server and more looks over the central computer core, I'm pretty sure it's corrosion, but not the usual sort. Digital corrosion, splits in the code fragmenting without maintenance. The kind of issue that only really gets bad when you let a program run for months on end without someone to watch it. The old turn-of-the-decade era solid states weren't made to run for that long, let alone with shit as sensitive to minor alterations as CRANE and the gang. Tracks too, as MELS has been detecting unusual alterations to his strings. Had to pull him off the central core before something lingering showed itself.

Gonna need a full overhaul, story of my life with this thing. Tech's too old, wasn't meant for the grade of war we're gonna be waging.
Might need to pop into Cochrane, maybe have a chat with the nerdlings that fancy themselves king over there. I hear With was pretty chill with 'em, so maybe they'll be likeminded to a fellow keyboarder.

As for CRANE, he's a lot less murder-happy. Code's running well enough, though there's a lot of red marks with the lack of lattice connections. Works well enough, though, and I think the hard flush'll do him some good.
