A familiar loading sequence appeared on the display with a flicker and a hint of static. Within that moment the Venator appeared in frame. Though on this occasion she wasn't wearing her usual combat armour. In fact, her outfit dawned a dark shaded coat. The figure flicked her hair back as it became clear the recording had now started. The backdrop was that of a lavishly equipped apartment with clear Gallic design style. The room itself was brightly lit.

"So. It has been a while, thought I'd update this little diary of mine. Quite a lot has gone down since we last spoke and as I record this entry, I find myself in a Gallic hotel suite in Provence. To be honest I ended up here by accident, I sent the Titania home after the engagement with the Core in Pi. Some damage was sustained so it wasn't wise to keep her in the fight. I sent it ahead and somehow I find myself sidetracked out here in Gallia. Totally not because of the wine! ha!"

Amy paced over to a large bed with her PDA in hand, the image of her face was joustled around as she made her way across the room. The bed coming into view as she sat down on the edge. A soft smile appeared on her face for a moment.

"I have never actually been here before, though I thought I'd sample some wines and various dishes they serve out here. This apartment I've rented under an alias for the time being. Anyway. Phoenix now has her own host, that aside from the carrier. Naomi came up with it in the lab so we are currently monitoring her progress with adapting to it. I think Elaine is helping her, though I've not been back to the carrier for a week or two now. I get regular updates so everything is fine out there, nothing exciting happens in Inverness anyway."

Amy laid back onto the bed and held the PDA above her head, more of the red and gold bed covers coming into frame as she did. She threaded her fingers of her free hand into her hair as her blue eyes continued gazing back at the camera directly.

"I woke up this morning and when I went to order breakfast I had the most ridiculous conversation with a local. Though I have no idea what they were saying, the accent was too thick. Its funny. I used to be on the side of 'repel Gallia', you know, back in my Navy days. Didn't imagine back then I'd find myself here and sampling this culture for myself. It'll be some time before Titania's repairs are completed and we can roll out into the void again so I'll stick around out here for a bit. In any case, the food that turned up was crispy and there was wine so I can't really complain."

The figure yawned softly, a soft smirk appearing on her face, followed by a laugh.

"I think I could get used to this bed. Maybe I should purchase one for the carrier? that would be funny. I'll just return home with a bed and shove it in the bedroom. Won't cause any odd looks at all huh."

A beep was heard and Amy started tapping at the screen on her PDA, jostling the image once more.

"Huh. Seems my AI friend in the Gammu needs to find some relics. I must admit, the Gammuian's are an interesting species. I hesitate to call them machines because that wouldn't really do the collective hive they are any justice. While I don't really understand how they work, I find myself getting drawn deeper into the pit of discovery with them. I've seen their units in action against the Core first hand, they are absolutely no joke. Hades.. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that firepower. It was almost.. vicious. Like an organised pack of animals attacking some prey."

Amy frowned a little at the thought. She appeared to be contemplating the request for a moment.

"I wonder where I would find such relics.. hey! speaking of which. I ran into Nesrin Khan a few weeks back. The.. person? entity? reappeared in Pi while we were conducting a screening exercise. I get the feeling it won't be the last I see of them, they seemed different now. I suspect we'll cross paths again and I'll still be equally puzzled as to what they are or will become. Not that I understood much of what they even said, but they seem lost to a degree. Novak doesn't trust them and I honestly can't blame them for enacting caution in that particular case. Seems everyone is gunning for the Gammu at the moment for whatever reason."

There was a brief pause, Amy closed her eyes for a few moments. An eerie silence became obvious before she spoke again and reopened her eyes.

"Anyway, I think I've rambled on enough. I'll update this again if I run into anything interesting, which. No doubt I will. Till next time me!"

Amy winked as she tapped the screen which jostled the camera slightly. The recording ended.
