I’ll be direct, because I know you prefer problems over ceremony.

What you accomplished with the EC AIs did not go unnoticed. Repurposing an electronic warfare suite into a functional, two-way communication framework was not just clever — it demonstrated an instinct for systems thinking that is difficult to teach and even harder to replace. You didn’t force the signal. You listened for it, and then you spoke back in a language that they could tolerate. That matters.

Because of that, we would like to formally assign you to two parallel tasks.

Assignment One – Gammusian AI Contact

We ask that you continue and expand your work on artificial intelligence communication, with the long-term goal of establishing stable, non-hostile diplomatic contact with the entities commonly referred to as the Gammusians.

You are not expected to rush this. In fact, we strongly prefer you do not. Observation, pattern recognition, and controlled engagement will be more valuable than speed. Your prior method — adaptive signaling through reconfigured EW architecture — will remain your primary toolset. You will have discretion in how far and how fast you proceed, provided all findings are documented and shared with Research Command.

This is uncharted territory. That is precisely why it suits you.

Assignment Two – Davos Deep-Space Communications Relay

Separately, we would like you to design and oversee the installation of a deep-space communications relay at Davos Base.

Davos presents a number of complications that we believe you are uniquely qualified to address:
• Persistent radiation interference from the surrounding cloud
• Dense and anomalous signal traffic within the system
• An unstable Champagne jumphole
• Persistent compatibility issues between Gallic and Sirian communications architectures

The objective is not merely to “boost signal strength,” but to create a relay capable of filtering, translating, and stabilizing cross-border communications. If successful, this will significantly improve our ability to coordinate logistics and trade with the Unione Corse, particularly in relation to Gallic Nox, armaments, and civilian goods.

We are aware this will not be a clean or elegant engineering problem. That is intentional. Davos does not need a textbook solution — it needs a stubborn one.

You will be given access to Davos Base infrastructure, Unioner fabrication support, and any recovered Gallic comms hardware we can lawfully acquire. The final architecture will be your call.

If you accept, transmit your preliminary thoughts when ready. There is no deadline yet — only a need.

Work carefully. Work honestly. And don’t let anyone tell you something is “impossible” before you’ve had a chance to break it apart.
