404 error when launching launcher first time

Apparently the launcher is trying to fetch patches from patch.discoverygc.net, this domain currently has nothing running and I can't recall DiscoveryGC ever used dot net as domain

There must have been an active .net domain at some point or else no one starting from discovery v5 would be able to install patches or play the game at all (without the hosts file hack or manually replacing the launcher app with 2.2+)
