ABOUT US

The Advanced Interactive Executive Corporation has been a reliable partner of the Core in the field of Artificial Intelligence for a year now. Founded in late 834 A.S. as an outsourcing company providing assistance with AI research on the planet Gammu, AIX is now one of the leading developers of its own AI technologies.

Unlike all others, AIX does not provide personal-thinking artificial intelligence, but rather provides services of their more primitive counterparts: mass-produced drones capable only of standard self-learning and with a limited range of capabilities. At the same time, the corporation can provide services for the partial automation of processes on ships with a live crew, reducing the human factor and everything associated with it to a minimum.

The corporation firmly believes that the policies of other Core organizations attempting to enslave AI for corporate purposes are economically disadvantageous and inherently risky, which was subsequently reflected in the loss of the battleship Mars in early 835. Since then, investors' opinions on AIX dubious ideas have changed, allowing the corporation to secure sufficient funding, get back on its feet, and finally begin entering the international Sirius sector market.

Thanks to the skilled hands of engineers and the attentive attention of numerous operators, the corporation's "Drone Fleet" is growing daily, significantly distinguishing its success from other organizations in the field of AI research.

STORY OF ESTABLISHMENT

«The main thing for us now is not to screw up, guys. So, listen, there's the plan...»

The Advanced Interactive Executive Corporation was founded in late 834 A.S., amid The Core's growing Artificial Intelligence research operations on the Planet Gammu in the Omicron Kappa system. The original composition of the corporation was made up of a group of former programmers from Ageira Technologies who decided to start their own outsourcing business in the Omicron Region. At that time the corporation was called "Outsourcing Artificial Intelligence Research" (OAIR). The founders of the future AIX provided their services in the field of research projects related to artificial intelligence.

The results of this work reflected the corporation's financial status: with the accumulated funds, the company planned to enter the international market by offering a more primitive version of artificial intelligence. It was assumed that using a self-created AI, incapable of individual thought (due to its primitive nature), would be a much cheaper and more reliable option than attempting to control the inhabitants of the Planet Gammu. At the same time, the drone bodies, which were assembled piece by piece from debris during expeditions to Omicron Kappa, could more than compensate for the shortcomings of primitive AI.

However, most investors were interested in developing existing projects that had already been running for a sufficient period of time to warrant their success. The corporation found itself in a difficult situation, and their only working prototype was an artificially created drone, later known as "AIX-099". This drone was inferior to existing Gammu AI models in many ways, leading the corporation to consider returning to outsourcing.

Events took an unexpected turn in early February 835 A.S., when, during an operation in Omicron Zeta, the battleship Mars, completely refitted for AI technology, was captured by the AI, threatening the Core's operations against the Order in the system. The corporation's members realized this was their real opportunity to seize the initiative and launch their own project, but instead, they decided to spend time improving the artificial intelligence of their single drone. Thus, AIX-099 met its first real baptism of fire in the Omicron Kappa system in March 835 A.S., when the Core and Zoners initiated an operation to attack the battleship Mars.

Combat experience allowed them to adjust the drone's behavior parameters, increasing its combat effectiveness. AIX contacted several private groups in the Sirius sector that had previously invested in AI technology, proposing their own project. After lengthy negotiations, the corporation received a small amount of credits, but enough to develop several more similar drones based on AIX-099 intelligence: AIX-087, AIX-173 and AIX-088 were created.

The corporation often used the services of Core mercenaries to deliver drone debris to them, which they could then use for their own projects

Suddenly, The Core decided to organize an offensive operation against the Reincarnation Outpost in Omicron Delta, which effectively became an excuse for the corporation to enter the Omicron market, providing the services of its combat drones. During the lengthy siege, the drones were able to prove themselves not only as independent combat units but also as "AI mercenaries," receiving payment and providing combat services on the ground. At the same time, the corporation established contacts with several private individuals within both the Core and Zoners, allowing them to secure even more funding through bounty hunter contracts and missions escorting logistics and trade vessels within the Omicrons.

Thanks to the resounding success of the siege and the establishment of new partners, the corporation managed to secure additional funding within the Omicron region, gradually expanding its fleet of ships and actively recruiting personnel. Outsourcing AI-related research became a secondary priority. The corporation now operated in the contract sector, where artificial intelligence - primitive but inexpensive, and therefore numerous and effective - did all the work.

The drones' self-training programs bore fruit in the fall of 835 A.S., when, during the battles in Sigma-17, the corporation managed to make a huge profit and invest heavily in internal research, which led to the creation of the first, more advanced version of the drone: AIX-L-121, operating Border Worlds Transport.

By January 836 A.S., the corporation had established a foothold in the Omicron market and was setting its sights on the international market of the Sirius sector. Long-term plans include expanding the drone fleet and minimizing human involvement in credit-earning processes, whether through combat or simple cargo transportation.

INTERNAL RANKS & RECRUITMENT POLICY

The organization's ranking system is unique and reflects the corporation's core operating principles. The corporation's primary recruitment sources are Freelancers, Zoners, Independent Mercs, Bounty Hunters, The Core members, technical specialists in engineering and programming. Finding maintenance personnel to work in the hangar or assemble and disassemble drones is easy, as is paying for such labor; however, finding competent specialists is a more complex task. To save money and time, AIX resorts to inviting individuals who have proven themselves in one way or another and can contribute to the corporation's mission.

After accepting the invitation, the newly appointed member enters into a contract with the corporation, which specifies their authority, responsibilities, and compensation. If the member intends to advance in their career, they apply for a higher position, and the contract is renewed.

  • Agent - A corporation member whose duties include conducting field operations near drones and escorting important cargo. Typically, agents are experienced pilots recruited to observe drone operations from the sidelines, conduct various tests of their systems, and so on. If a corporation's mission requires a human presence, agents are brought in first.

  • Operator - A corporation member tasked with monitoring the operations of serially produced AIX-class drones. Operators monitor the drones' actions and collect statistics on their combat effectiveness, incidents, malfunctions, and all other events. Operators are experienced programmers who are capable of accurately monitoring drone errors, identifying operational flaws, and, in the event of a serious threat, take control of them. Sometimes operators themselves take their fighters into outer space to check the drones' performance in person. But this is a rarity.

  • Captain - A corporation member commanding a Command-class (gunboats, cruisers) ships, heavily modified to handle the needs of mass-produced AIX-class drones. Captains are typically responsible for the computer arrays on their vessels, effectively turning the ship into a command center for the drones. Only the "best of the best" commanders are eligible for a contract with the corporation, as the captain and their crew are obligated to ensure both the effective launch of the entire drone force and the survival of the operators who board their ships during such operations.

  • Representative - A corporation member entrusted with the ability to negotiate with third-party organizations and conclude various contracts. Typically, a Corporation Representative is either a highly skilled businessman or a highly skilled programmer or engineer. Simple agents, operators, or captains, lacking one of the above, would never fall into this category. Corporation Representatives embody the core agenda of the AIX, which values intelligence and resourcefulness over brute force.

  • CEO - The head of a corporation who is responsible for its overall agenda and priorities, and who also takes responsibility for organizing large-scale projects and funding priorities. Obviously, the CEO is more involved in business than science, so seeing him in space is extremely rare.

CURRENT GOALS & COMMERCIAL POLICY

  • Expansion of the Drone Fleet - Increasing the number of serial drones of various models and command ships will allow the organization to expand its capabilities in fulfilling contracts, from combat to trade. The development of mining drones capable of extracting iridium from deposits in Omicron Delta is also possible.

  • Expanding regions for cooperation – The corporation must, sooner or later, enter the international market of the Sirius sector. It is necessary to complete the development of Omicrons and establish a solid base there before moving on.

  • AI technology development – Previously used only for outsourcing the corporation's past activities, this knowledge now allows it to offer ship modernization services to customers. The corporation must expand its product offerings and streamline the modernization process to earn credibility in the eyes of others and establish itself as the only existing group capable of replacing humans with machines.

  • Create own drone design – Relying on Gammu drone wrecks is unwise, especially in the current climate. Sooner or later, mining wrecks will become unprofitable for the corporation, so it's worth considering developing own line of ships early. Furthermore, this will allow AIX to completely redesign their drone line to suit the corporation's or customers' needs.

  • The Core - Our valued partners. Those who have enabled us to fully realize our potential. Helping them is a priority when it's truly important. We also offer them our drone services for a reasonable fee.

  • The Sirius Sector Houses - Our opportunity to enter the global market. If they appear in Omicron or Omega, we must offer them our assistance. Through investments from private individuals within the Houses, or from the entire governments of these Houses, we will be able not only to increase our budget but also to demonstrate in practice that our idea of making own AI is far more promising than that of our competitors in subjugating the inhabitants of Gammu.

  • Zoners - Disparate groups, some of which dominate the rest and, as a result, can become our business partners. Collaborating with them is important both for earning money and for establishing new contacts and acquaintances.

  • Everyone else - Neutral status until the first meeting.

  • Known criminals - Dissidents, marginalized individuals, and simple scum. In short, those who harm our corporation, our partners, our friends, and our investors. They won't hesitate to try to seize our technology for their own selfish ends. Avoid them and don't let them near our drones.

  • Gammu AI - It was with them that our development began. And they will serve as a major technical base for us in implementing our projects. We will not subjugate them - it is impractical and risky. But we are obligated to study and apply their knowledge in practice. We must also use the wreckage of their ships to repair our own. Omicron Kappa and Omicron Pi are priority targets for raids and debris collection.

  • Nomads & Wilde - Alien beings and their minions, who dream of harming us and humanity's growing progress. Omicrons are full of dangers, and they are one of them. At some point, they will be left behind, and we must demonstrate to them, and everyone else, that the time of alien horrors is long gone. Space belongs only to us.

  • The Order - Proclaimed terrorists, hiding behind the mask of human heroes, attempting to cover up all their atrocities. Their hands are long stained with blood; they are the ones wreaking havoc on Omicron, bringing instability to the Houses. Our task, like that of our partners in the Core, is to bring civilization and progress to Omicrons. And the fall of the Order will be an important step in this direction.

OORP

This faction was created solely for the sake of relaxation in RP and some fun in PvP. Don't look for any grand goals or ambitions here - we're saving those for March. In the future, we plan to update the faction topic's BB-codes and polish a few more things, but for now, this is what it is.
