You wanna rekindle a spark in the game? Try something new, or something old that you miss. Restart an old project that you have laying around in storage somewhere, prowl around systems and see if people do anything to meet you. If no one does, and it felt depressing, do something else, or try a different approach. It really is as simple as putting in the effort. People might mostly be selfish, but that's no reason to stop trying.

Pardon the polemic, but I do agree with this.
With the caveat that you should only do this if you're finding the fun in it. A certain amount of self-filtration will occur, though.
Often it doesn't occur to people that they could be the one leading activity themselves.
