I predict potential psionics threats down this route.
"I know your partner and her sister are not too fond of the suppression headgear we wear within our tribe but unless they're taking offensive measures against the hive, they're as much of an intelligence risk as anyone else in that area. I know of human resistance limitations against hybrids and war-forms... But this isn't a path of war I've seen yet for myself. You need to be careful of your kin.
"I've had some time to look over Novak's request, cybernetic parts obtained from Kusari and some of my own alterations to ensure that they have compatibility with our power infrastructure. If people thought data centers took a lot of power per unit, think what sentient beings might be burning through for their entire life. We don't say 'no' to essentials around here... I'll let you know when our friend is ready to weave together their ligaments and prepare for final assembly. I just hope I've at least given enough choice on human-oriented forms for them to choose from, my heart wishes they could be amongst us as themselves, the other publicly-aware side screams that acceptance would be easier if they had a choice to look like us when given the option.
"... A.L.I.C.E? This isn't a name I've come across but the acronym measure does worry me already. And people who want to find me are always found on my variant of a 'watch list'... Who wants to find me? And you've put the cherry on top saying 'thing'... Its not often that arises around here calling one that but-- I won't deny your perception and assessment.
"And Revenant, by the Void, she's dragging more names in the net that I have to look into.... Nothing concrete yet but only a few flaggings in our open-network intelligence. I can't say for sure who yet because likely that's a kill-message I don't want to table immediately. If she wants in on the weapon excavation then make sure she gets her fair share of schematics and research findings but don't let her tribe take the tech. I know what they're like... Personally trust in myself was excluded in that decision. If they're coming along to help us succeed, that's all they're doing until we're done as agreed.
