A man stands in front of a camera, his arms crossed behind his back and an emotionless mask covering his face.

To whom it may concern--my name is Jadyn Giles, captain of the Black Harvest, a highly modified Bustard-class carrier. We have been operating in deep space for a considerable period and require a return to civilized space for an overhaul of our jump drive systems, which are currently malfunctioning. The coils require realignment after every jump or maintenance cycle--a process that is consuming resources and time better spent elsewhere.

We will be passing near Sirius in the coming days, within the Tau systems--specifically Orkney--and can rendezvous with one of your representatives if you are willing to take on this task. Credits are no object, so feel free to quote whatever compensation is required. Drydock facilities are not an option due to the sensitive nature of the Black Harvest’s mission. As such, an escort will be present at all times during the work, and anything observed aboard the vessel will require an NDA signed by your representative.

We are also prepared to offer additional compensation, including data we deem safe to disclose regarding various stellar anomalies and other exploratory findings gathered beyond the rim of known space, should that be of interest.

We will remain on standby for a response for several days. If we do not hear back--or if you are unable to assist--we will depart the area by week’s end.

He nods firmly towards the camera before the transmission is terminated and replaced by the logo of a wolf before going black.
