California Patrol Report: - 01/02/836 A.S
This report is a summary of my findings during a routine patrol through the main artery from West Point through to the Cortez Jump Gate within the California system.
Initially embarked the lanes solo initially with my Defender and arrived at Planet Los Angeles. I initially conducted a sweep of the trade lane as far as the Cortez gate, though on my return to Los Angeles I noticed ALG Eisenstadt which appeared to be coming from the Sierra Ice field. As it passed my ship, I managed to catch a scan of its cargo which was a full load of Counterfeit Computerware. Unfortunately it was headed down the trade lane to the Cortez jump gate so I was unable to give chase.
Though with the relevant evidence captured I also decided a pursuit wasn't really required as both the transponder and the cargo were captured in the guncam footage.
I returned to rendezvous with my cruiser Oakland and returned to Los Angeles for another patrol, later I was joined by the Waimea where I shared my latest discovery, agreeing we can essentially deal with this via the usual protocols. Hence the filing of this report. I was later involved in an action with hostile forces however due to the critical damage sustained to my vessel, all footage and recordings of the engagement were lost in a strange twist of fate.
The Oakland is currently at Norfolk shipyard undergoing the necessary repairs. I will return to patrol once the necessary repairs have been completed.
