Insertion completed successfully. The cover identity of an “independent freelancer” remains intact. I have not drawn suspicion: integration into the local environment is proceeding as planned.

At present, the Newcastle system remains unstable and hazardous. Regular armed clashes between Bretonian authorities and resistance forces are being observed. The Bretonian government maintains control over key strategic locations within the system: however, beyond these points, lawlessness prevails. I continue to strictly adhere to my cover, operational guidelines, and the principle of non-intervention: I do not engage in combat and conduct observations from a neutral position.

Due to the ongoing hostilities, many Bretonian corporations have significantly reduced or entirely suspended their regular routes into the Newcastle system. As a result, the majority of commercial traffic is now handled by independent traders, freelancers, and smugglers. This complicates concealment to some extent, but simultaneously reduces the level of attention from local authorities toward my activities within the system.

Nevertheless, a superficial contact was established with a Deep Space Engineering trading vessel "Aurora." near Scarborough Shipyard. When I attempted to initiate a discussion regarding the current state of trade routes and logistics, the subject demonstrated extreme caution and pronounced paranoia. The conversation was terminated quickly at their initiative. No actionable intelligence was obtained. The vessel was transporting basic alloys and was en route to the planet Carlisle, where our paths diverged. However, the very presence of such heightened suspicion among foreign corporations indirectly confirms the broader crisis of trust and instability within the system - and possibly within the Houses themselves.

Additionally, I report the presence of strong interference throughout the system. The source remains unidentified. A direct secure data transmission to Zvezda-5 is not possible. I am operating via the reserve protocol “Pegasus”. Transmission delays remain within calculated parameters.

Conclusion: the zone remains difficult for operational activity; however, gaps in control continue to create opportunities for intelligence gathering. Primary risks include accidental involvement in armed engagements, limited access to reliable information sources, and unstable technical communications. Operations continue under standard protocol.
